    Think I broke a g string once 5 or so years ago. Even so I'd always have spare strings and usually a spare bass on stage.

    I've been the main writer in my last 2 bands. Performed a mixed set twice with the earlier band but made sure no covers for the most recent.

    Yep when I had one it started to break up up early (around 10 o'clock I think). But if you like how it sounds with your gear then what's the problem? As long as there isn't a fault that makes it unreliable or unsafe?

    I use an MB500. Great piece of gear imo. Light, powerful, growly, strong eq, footswitchable drive channel. I've used it into a small cab (orange sp210) without pa support and it worked fine in a small venue in a 3 piece rock band. Usually with pa support and its always done its job.
