1. Thinking of making my collection totally headless . Gotta sell stuff first. Have a bump anyway;)
 2.
But if it really has been untouched for the last 35 years then all the refinishing happened when it wasn't vintage or anything special - just old and second hand.
Very good point .
 3. Could be wrong but , the saying goes ' never refinish a vintage bass' . It is said to devalue them considerably
 4. I remember back when Motörhead played Donington ('88?). They played a blinder. We met some people who heard everything in their garden...5 miles away
 5.
So not really that much of a bargain then.
The prices of the psychedelic paisley colour go for a lot more
 6. Yes catalogue bass. You couldn't forget them tho'
 7.
There's a lovely looking Sandberg on the Bassdirect "Second Hand" page just now, http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Sandberg_TM5_PBY.html
Wow!
 8. Wasn't Kay the woolworths type, bargain bucket price of the 60's/70's ?
 9. Pretty cool also like the sound gear in the garden
 10.
It says in the description that it had been painted orange over the original blonde finish so i guess that's why someone decided to strip it.
This is true
 11.
How much would this be worth if it still had the original pickup fitted and working, the original finish, and the neck didn't look as though it had been gnawed on by rodents?
Probably 2- 2 .5 grand
 12.
So is this..............
That's pretty cool
 13.
Probably due to my conservartive upbringing and my instinctive good taste , I am much too sensible to have ever owned a bass in any of these ridiculous colours . However , that doesn't stop me from casting a sideways glace at them and wondering what it would be like to come home to the offbeat charms of one of these monstrocities . It's like looking at a Chav woman in the supermarket sporting gaudy makeup and offensive children and wondering what it would be like if you gave her a job as your cleaning lady and let her into your home . Would she steal from you and laugh all the way to Cash Converters , or would you end up giving her a special Dingus "Christmas bonus " one afternoon and run away together to start a new life on benefits in Luton ? Could I , Lord Dingus of Nowhere In Particular , really go out in public with a yellow bass ? Or a green one ? Or a woman who buys her clothes from a sports shop ? I've got a red bass , but even that is Fiesta Red , a classic Fender 1960's custom colour , and makes me look a bit like Hank Marvin with clinical depression . Basses in these strong colours are O.K as a novelty , but that would wear off very quickly , I suspect . I love this , though : Lamborghini Orange . I could live with that . It would go lovely with my brown chocolate cords I got from Gap , too .
The colour 's ok . Not sure about the bass tho' . (Sorry)
 14.
That's NOT green! This is green! And one showing the MYUNG too Although i REALLY like this colour
Really like the middle one
 15.
I have a yellow Hondo les Paul. Its in my loft unloved
Pic !
 16.
I don't go in for coloured basses really, but I wouldn't mind a green one. It would go with my Black Watch tartan mini kilt that I am threatening to wear next time we do anything punky.
Green is cool! When I got my Washburn status, I nearly got a green one. There was a public transport strike on at the time , so I ended up getting 'wine' . If the 'other ' shop on Denmark st. Was open it was gonna be green. Have you seen the dean zone basses?
 17.
If you're really, really bored you could set up a poll to see who owns basses of various different colours! And if we're really, really bored, we'll vote in it! (Just joking on that last point - I'd vote in such a poll! )
Nah, too much like hard work;) Ii was thinking that yellow was the least favourite colour tbh. I'm very surprised that the responses have been so positive;) green next..
 18. While I have been noodling on my Washburn status , I realise it is still the go to bass at all times. I was thinking of going completely headless, whilst trimming down the herd at the same time. It would mean me either getting a real frostless status, or a couple more washburns. Getting one on yellow will be tricky tho'
 19. Interesting thing about rudy sarzo; at the same time as learning the bass properly( lessons from my friend ), I got the hot licks video by rudy sarzo. ( very hair metal) the video showed me a lot. I loved the black and white bass he had. I thought it was a hamer, but apparently it was a Washburn . This was all pre Internet . Think I'm too old for that now;) Peavey cirrus were always rated by lots in the &80s/ 90s. Don't think they were expensive either. I was still stuck on headless . ..
 20. Well, looks like I'm wrong about the amount of people on here who have yellow basses( and guitars
