1. Thanks for your input so far . Dr.Pepper didn't do it for me. What I'm after is stuff with no guitars, (definitely no sitars), & no dancey vibes.just medititive so to speak Keep 'em coming
2. I remember years ago shopping in Camden market. I went into a small shop looking for various toot and heard a noise that sounded at first like a mini demonstration( the shop was quiet). Then after a few minutes, I was liking this mellow chanting. Turned out it was some sort of Indian chanting. While playing the Roots album by Sepultura for the first time in ages( which has some of this stuff on it), I realise I must have some of this world music in my collection . Anyone got any ideas of some good sounds to get ? Cheers;)
3.
Thanks for responding I'm just looking to record some solo stuff, I'd like to listen to myself retrospectively, I also forget stuff I come up with all the time. So just a rough demo I suppose. I have a Samsung lappy. I was out the game for a long time but have just joined a function band with a brass section, I can hardly hear myself a lot of the time! Thanks again!
Could be another question you're asking us here. I would recommend a combo /amp around 250 watts if playing in pubs;)
4. I have podfarm ( line 6 ux1). I would recommend that;)
5. I also use the zoom b2 1 u . You get the effects as well;)
6. Watched it all. It was getting into oprah winfrey territory. Thought she was gonna cry(and get the crowd sobbing also). Never heard of her. Ted.. Strange name for a girl?
7. I have one of these. Have a bump
8. I have a usb interface. I just plug bass into say zoom b21 u , the output goes into my toneport gx. Then i go into Garageband , no problem;)
9. I had 2 albums grom vdgg; still life/ the leadt we can do.. Had them for about a year, then sold them . I remember la rossa, but nothing else. Didn't really do it for me. They used to play with hawkwind alot in the early days .
10. Nice to see people like as much varied music as possible . Mind you, I haven't heard the daft punk track. I'll give it a listen on you tube.
11. Borderline ?
12. Crikey! Getting old! I was also there in '88. I was also at the German equivalent in cologne a week later. I remember testament billed as a lasti min replacement for megadeath . They were the best apart from maiden;)
13.
No. What channel?
Bbc. Catch it on the iplayer
14. I enjoyed it . She still has a great voice. Did she not get on with frida ? Would've been nice to see her on the programme.

17. I was gonna vote, but it wont let me on my ipad. Error message keeps showing.anyway, i was trying to sell a trace elliot amp(i think) . I never realised that you should introduce yourself first. That was a few years ago ...
18. Jaya the cat , great name i met cliff burton . He just said ' get a phaser '. I asked billy sheehan how to play' michelle' at a bass clinc. Hebdid it , and is anlovely bloke and of course awesome. Talked rubbish to stu hamm, and left him scratching his head. Same as billy , nice bloke etc. asked Tony Macalpine (guitarist) what happened to his hair. Thats not really technical;)
19. Watched this till the singing. I am tired . Awesome so far. Will watch the rest soon Back in the '80s , i couldve seen him at Hammy O . Never knew who he was then.my friend had a tkt that night, and i was already in the pub drinking with friends. Doh!
20. What I found quite funny at the time was, punks hated teddy boys . Around that time ,apart from showaddywaddy or the rubettes, i cant remember seeing any teddy boys around tbh. Punk seemed to not be around for very long really. Shame the anti nowhere league came out too late. So what mind you , they tried to be commercial and were soft as sh&t after their first album. Nrw wave.. Now that was dreadful..
21. One of the bands i was in kept changing keys &capos everybother week. I go home , practice for next rehearsal, then find tuning altered again! Slightly annoying when taking a 4 string headless bass for travelling on public transport.Maybe if i had a five string at the time, it wouldnt have been so frustrating .
