2.
Yeh - it's a 3020 I've had for about 30 years. Still sounds great.
I had one many years ago . Blew it up( my own fault) . Great amp
 3. Telebass ( 70s Humbucker style, with extra pickup ?
 4.
Lots of people have Ricks and don't sound like Geddy, even if they want to. The problem usually lies in the fact that they're not Geddy. Geddy uses Jazzes nowadays, and he still sounds the same. There's more than one way to skin a cat, and more often than not the best way to replicate another player's sound is actually by using something else altogether.
Very true
 5. All of the stuff is cool here. Nice. Guy homer has same monitors as me was that a NAD amp?.cool. I will join this thread proper, when I rearrange my stuff this weekend

 8.
I've owned a Rickenbacker 4003 for about 6-7 months now after playing a considerable number in shops I'd decided the playability and sound was exactly to my tastes, went to get one second hand relatively cheaply and after a couple of gigs I was questioning wether I'd made the right choice, the playability feels awful and I can't get a good tone at all, even through my GK rig which makes my Fenders sound fantastic, I just feel like i'm trying to force myself to like this bass because I've pined and saved up for it so long, would changing the pickups or installing a push/pull tone selection make much of a difference? I'm just wondering if Ric's aren't to my tastes any more or I've picked up a duff one. every time I come close to selling one I have a listen to Machine head or 2112 and sadden myself with what a Ric should sound like... Cheers!
I wouldn't alter anything to be honest . If it's not working out , why not trade it for another type of bass? Or You could even get a Rickenfaker instead ?
 9.
Indeed. They just don't want a ham-fisted bass player. What's wrong with that?
Probably the best post on this thread Btw; I have had one or 2 serious fopics I have posted, and loved the witty comments . The o p liked them here . I assume he got somebody, and seems to be a really nice bloke . Some veggies need to lighten up
