  1. As I am bored this Good Friday , thought I'd ask your opinions on this. I like an easy life, and prefer headless anyway. Obviously, it wouldn't be me doing it . I would take bass to a tech to do it. I have 2 headless basses (washburn status & and steinberget xm3) . I don't want to do the conversion on those. What I was thinking tho', is purchasing a Kramer duke or similar , and have something compact and different. Is it worth doing? Is it costly? Let me have your opinions. Cheers
  2. If the guy recorded it on logic , maybe he could email to someone who also has logic. The recipient. Could perhaps make improvements that way. The last demo my last band did was a complete nightmare. Because mr. Guitar did not want to pay the same as the rest, he got 2 dj's he knew. However, I noticed that they recorded it on logic at the time. If I understood it , I could have done a better job of it myself. Over to others ....
  3. Ok. Synth stuff is notoriously difficult for bass guitar. This pedal has a lot of stuff . The octave stuff is brilliant. Cheap and cheerful .
  4. If it's in the higher price bracket, it could be the high chaparral
  5. Got one from here. Love it .
  6. Guitar ( bass)- interface- computer- etc. Your interface at come with lots of effects..
  7. ...Also, a pair of studio monitors. If you have a mac computer, you already have garageband. If not, then someone on here will recommend some equivalent.
  8. Interesting thread. I like the idea of lighter strings on my Washburn status/steinberger . When I got both set up a few years ago, the tech couldn't find any light gauges so both of mine are normal gauge. I think that the sound would be the same, but your fingers may appreciate the difference. I wouldn't bother changing pickups on the hohner. For what it's worth, it wouldn't make much difference IMHO . I used to have a hohner stick bass. Great action, but the sound was not in same league as Washburn status. Got a much more superior sound on my steinberger, which I got to replace it.
  9. I like the look of these. Is the neck like a Tele ? True, they aren't seen much in the uk for some reason.
  10. This needs a bump. You don't really want to kiss it now do you
  11. For me ; go into shop( or browse net). Have a maximum price in mind that you can afford . Has to look good. Then play it and see what it's like. Then it has to sound good. Then pay for it .
  12. Nice rig. Was this from the Rolling Stones tour ?
  13. Wonder which is better. Old bass whammy, or new bass whammy ....
  14. Like them live, but not at home . £10 posted next day delivery.still in cellophane
  15. This is interesting . Nobody has said it is awesome yet. Obviously more time is needed, and it's just come out etc .
