1. Just USB keyboard. All I want to do really , is record bass/ iPad / USB keyboard . I think that's all;) This looks easy to use for that ..
2. Thanks for that. That's the thing tho ' . I'm not bothered about the limitations tbh. Just after something quick and easy to record.
3. Looks so easy to use on the you pube clips. Even easier than garageband. What are your opinions , if any?
4. Paul bail off is not the same I'm afraid. Can someone it some candle mass in this thread, to Liven it up a bit ?
5. That's great
6. There was a Mesa boogie walkabout scout on here for sale, not long ago. Never tried one, but it would fit the bill imho.
7.
Supported Venom back in the day at The Honeysuckle in Gateshead. Bit shouty, bit scary.
8.
Whilst all that growly stuff was going on i was listening to Mercyful Fate and King Diamond......just saying lol
Me too;)
9.
Preist never really shouted though, songs like Living After Midnight we sung rather than shouted. I remember seing biohazard live in London somewhere in the early 90's, now they just shouted and growled through 2 hours of noise. Judas never did that, they played for 2 hours. IMHO anyway. Cheers, Rich
Sorry rich - crossed wires here. I think ithe answer to my question seems to be venom ( unless another name comes up)
10. Think it's a shop. 'We/us' . How much would they charge for strings?
11. Back in the early gigs, I did most with a fantastic guitarist. Loved his sound (think '80s metal). Learned a lot from him. Back then, it was just my bass into combo. Nothing else.I was just playing riffs /root notes . We both always got complimented at our gigs. Maybe keeping it simple is best.
12. Yeah, could be. Saw them at hammy o back in the day. They were good. Exodus played with paul bail off too. Had all of venoms early albums. Can't listen to them now.
13. Having a discussion with a friend , about the trends in metal. One of the topics to rise , was the trend for all things angry. Now, back in the '80s it seemed that there were so many Rob Halford wannabes . Most were cack. Some were good. So then thrash /death/speed came along roughly in the early '80s. Slayer were probably the most well known for a change from the screamy stuff at the time. Venom , celtic frost etc . Then there was lawnmower death. Apart from queensryche / maiden /priest ( I know I've missed some), everyone seems to sound like they've swallowed an Alsatian . Question is, who started it ?
14. Love it! If times weren't hard, I would've had this . Bump anyway
15. Think there was a similar thread here last week . ( need to get a life . Websites such as lemon rock are good. Facebook? Over to other basschatters ..
16. Wasting time; One of my last bands. Every other week at rehearsals , mr vox/ guitar, decides to change the tuning of many songs already learnt from previous rehearsal. Also, psyching yourself up for a pub gig with a big reputation . Then finding yourself playing in front of 1 man and a deaf dog. Plus egocentric rip off manager .( hello grey horse Kingston )
17. Difficult question. My answer ; when it makes the band megastars (Master of puppets/ morning glory/harvest /dark side of the moon etc.) Also, when they attract mainstream attention, and not just specialist. Also , when you can still play the album20 years latet...
18. I use toneport ux1, into GarageBand . Soon will explore logic when I'm more brave. There are many options, but that's mine.
19. Howdy! Unfortunately, you must pay a small fee to advertise here I'm afraid. You can then upload pics, and put down a price you would like. I'm sure someone will advise you shortly . Good luck with the sale
20. Me too. My left eye is defective at the moment;)
21. Love the colour. Unfortunately, I'm more useless than nick clegg. I often think of learning guitar, with something cheap. Unfortunately, times are hard. Have a bump. Glwts
