1. Yeah, it's pricey for home use only. Love the sound from the you pube clips. More opinions needed
2.
From a bass point of view Stay Clean by Motorhead, so I could play the great bass solo Lemmy does. From a song point of view, Swords of a Thousand Men by Tenpole Tudor so I could holler along to the choruses.
Ive done the tenpole Tudor one. ( sorry
3. It's good for metal. Nice and loud. Cool bass
4. This caught my eye on you pube today. I thought the only pedal I want this year, is the bass whammy. But, I have now seen this. Could anybody tell me if it's really as good as it looks ?
5. Rivers of Babylon , sabbath bloody sabbath, kill yourself (sod), we care a lot
6. You could purchase an interface, which would give you a lot more variety
7.
Anyone thought of a Djembe? The amount of different tones you can get out of one of those played well is really ace!!
Does he play for Chelsea ?
8.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htsj9tIvIcg
You are the joint winner of best post
9. If you're that lazy , get someone else to do it
10. This thread will run .. I have many basses . The 77 Telebass Is what it says on the tin..bass! The ironic thing is , back in the day , the bass on many records was not as upfront as now . In the 80s for example even thrash bands such as overkill were using active basses and you could hear the bass much more. Production of course has evolved , I haven't tried other fenders , but obviously have heard them in live settings . Stevie Harris sounds clanky IMHO . Geddys sounds good. But teles are heavy like bison and muddy to some. Status are bright ,and would make me sound like I have new strings on permanently.
11. Nice bass , have a bump
12. Sans amp di box ? Change pickup or amp ? You seem to love the bass otherwise
13.
Every band I've left has fallen apart afterwards, so no. Not sure what that says about me...
+1
14. I have one of these. Have a bump
15. ..then you think ' should I just have 1 bass for life?' Should it be one made specially? I'm thinking like that at the moment. After picking up a bass , which has been ignored for months, I'm thinking maybe I should just use that one. It's not too far fr having a customade bass, both on price and performance . The bass is my '78 Telebass It sounds good recording through my podfarm interface . It doesn't need a battery. Also , there's no slapping involved. It may not happen , but there could be a clear out on the way. Has /is anyone else feeling this way?
16. Did you play mustang Sally ??
17. One of the last songs I learned before the band broke up . Tbh, the keyboardy/ bridge bit was annoying and difficult for me . We broke up before I played it live. Someone on here will appreciate it
18. Good thread. I don't play in a band anymore, and record bits on soundcloud now and again. Using a line 6 podfarm interface, there are lots of effects I use. I have various other hardware effects also. That's ok for messing around at home. Gig wise, I used to just use bass-amp- cab(or combo) and that was it. Except for 2 songs in a set where a multi fx unit helped. Glad you found your sound;) Looking back, it seems that the majority of punters liked our shows whether I had fx or not. I was always lucky Mr. Guitar had a very '80s metal sound on his guitar. This applied to all of my bands at the time
19. Saw them a few times. I have a few CDs but never play them. Myung has never been heard in all the gigs I've. Seen them. Always found them brilliant live, especially when they did the encores. However, the last 2 gigs at wembley , I thought that opeth and symphony x were the better bands at each gig. Maybe they didn't expect a big crowd. Because of the weather last night (hence the scowls )??
20. Btw; you are using this in an ipad/iphone aren't you?
21. Ok. Have you got headphones? Studio monitors (you don't need both). To test it, plug the in irig. The n open amplitube .plug in headphones or studio monitors into headphone jack of irig. You could even get lead which goes from headphone jack of irig which goes into your bass amp. When you plug the lead from your bass into the large jack of irig, is there any signal indicated in the amplitube app?
