  1. Ooh Markbass without the Halfords shop window gaudy yellow. I didn't even know they made them in plain black. Much nicer, and a very good price. Good luck with the sale.
  2. Nope. It's got to be kittens or you just can't hear the meowsic.
  3. I'm not exactly sure of the science behind it, but apparently if you use mismatched cabs, such as a 1x15 and a 2x10, the result of the two soundwaves combining will ultimately bring about the destruction of the universe. Or so I'm lead to believe from similar threads. The 1x15 + 2x10 combination has always sounded bloody superb to me.
  4. I'm quite fond of the whiskers myself. Although in a much more modest respect. 👍
  5. Right this arguing has gone on long enough now. Don't worry chaps, I'll sort it! BREXIT (Thread locked)
  6. I still have big confidence issues, but I figure the only way to get over that is to keep doing it. The logistics of being in a remote location is probably the biggest problem. Rather than joining an existing band, are there any musicians locally that you can get together with and start something new? I live in an extremely rural area in the centre of Bulgaria. If I can get a band together, I'm sure you can. 😉
  7. If you consider yourself to be an intermediate+ player then you should definitely be out playing with other musicians. Thais definitely where most of the fun is. I still consider myself very much an amateur but I'm in a gigging band and we always seem to go down pretty well. Welcome to the forum.
  8. Isn't that why we have the drunken rambling thread? Unfortunately I can never find it when I'm p@ssed. 😂
  9. Absolutely. Googled him and learned something new. 😁
  10. Third time's the charm. 😉
  11. That kind of thing really boils my p#ss on any forum. There's nothing new under the sun, and when a forum has been around for a few years then pretty much everything imaginable (at least in any way relevant) will have been discussed before. So what then? Are people supposed to just stop posting and use the site like a big online encyclopedia? What a boring forum that would be. If it wasn't for new people asking old questions, most forums would die pretty quickly.
  12. Yeah fair play for putting yourself out there. I definitely couldn't do it. Not only because I don't have the knowledge of talent, but I don't even like gigging with the band I'm actually in.
  13. As long as they don't start talking about aluminum. That just sends me into an instant rage! Although I do understand why they would be such big fans of Fenders. You wouldn't want to be in a car crash without one.
  14. Maiden meets Sabbath. I like it!
  15. They're already building one in the South. What we need is for Canada to build one in the North, then the rest of the world can chip in for a lid.
  16. I agree. They're pretty superb for the money. But I still think the Gretsch Junior Jet 2 is better.
  17. That's exactly what we do. Except everything in the bucket goes to charity.
  18. I'm still very much missing the "love" side of gigging. It's a horrible feeling of nervous energy all day (sometimes several days) before the gig, and the same feeling pretty much throughout. I maybe start to relax a couple of songs before the end, knowing it's almost over. Then there's the dopamine rush after. Which is just the feeling of having gotten away with it. That's pretty much the only enjoyable part, but it's certainly not worth the stress of the build up. For me It's kind of akin to getting into a fight and getting away without getting your head kicked in.
