  1. Nice one Chris, I’ve played this a long time ago and it’s quite a tricky one I thought than it first sounds
  2. Dancehall Friday, I think this one will just squeeze in and can’t remember if we’ve had Beres Hammond yet
  3. Just found out that Junior Byles passed away yesterday, RIP and respect
  4. If you like Bitty McLean and Sly and Robbie, which I think is a great combination, I’d recommend giving the album Forward a listen, really enjoyed it
  5. I think it’s an intentional feature myself and not faulty machinery or they would have put it right in the first place
  6. They obviously didn’t know what they was talking about Jazzy, it’s a beauty
  7. Here’s a picture of the underside of a set from 63 , interesting it is just a contour/step to the edge
  8. Well spotted , I’ve been looking and it appears that they stopped using the stepped one in late 65
  9. Yeah I think so dmc, could just be different manufacturers, just looked at mine out of curiosity both labella
  10. I cut mine a bit longer than Chris so about 2 1/2 inches which gives me 3 winds or so, it doesn’t matter how short or long you have them it wouldn’t change the silks lining up I don’t think, most of my labella’s just line up as it’s the way they are made
  11. Hi jezza, Could you open up some of the wood around the broken bit with a small screwdriver enough to maybe get some long nose pliers on it to unscrew
  12. I’m no expert on the 5 string but to me the headstock is the wrong shape for a fender , truss rod adjustment is not at the heel, pretty sure the American pro ll has 2 string trees, wrong neckplate, wrong bridge, I think it’s as described as not a fender
  13. If anyone is interested the Bob Marley Uprising live concert is on Sky Arts , and another good program is on after that too about Marley , and later is the Cimarons story which is definitely worth recording, quite a touching story
  14. Learning the Bassline to this one and while going through different recordings I came across this, backed by the Gladiators
  15. Sounds like a great night, nice one
  16. That’s what I used for quite a few years and I’ve still got one of them, great cabs , nice deep bass
  17. A favourite of mine at the moment I’ll be working on tomorrow
  18. Good tune Tandro, on hearing that this came straight to mind , old classic
  19. The baass was half way round from me
  20. Not as far as some here but all the way round the M25 , 33 junctions I think
  21. That’s what I have too on my Hohner B2A which is the same scale I think, great strings
  22. It’s a bit pricey for a set of flats imo, but if it turns out that they feel and sound exceptionally great for you then it’s worth it , you don’t know until you try, I held back buying the Olinto signature flats because I thought they were too expensive ,but gave in and bought them eventually and I’m really glad I did as I’m liking the change from my normal strings
  23. Nice one, very good
  24. Just to add, labella LTFs and the TIs aren’t floppy, they are lower tension though than the others mentioned, I also had the fender flats and they are fairly high tension , maybe look at labella 760 FS they are a nice string that still have brightness even when played in
