  1. C necks until 67 68 then B necks, but I have seen a 67 B, pretty rare though
  2. Don’t think there is, I looked before, I normally give it a few weeks and then post another
  3. Since my dipping into learning Motown for something different ,I tried quite a few of his basslines ,and it made me realise just how amazingly good he was
  4. Mine never changes whenever the question comes up, except I’ve added Sean Hurley, not so much for the music but the way he plays is so good Robbie Shakespeare Flabba Holt Aston Barrett val Douglas Fully Fullwood Sean Hurley
  5. Will has got what looks like a nice 71 P in at the moment, (nothing to do with me) shame it doesn’t have the original case https://bassbros.co.uk/product/1971-fender-precision-bass/
  6. Nice one from Johnny Osborne , ringcraft, Flabba sounding good at 6.40
  7. I’ve successfully shimmed my basses before because I play with a really low action, I do the same as Acebassmusic, a strip of business card should be well enough, it’s surprising what difference it makes, I’d try that first squire5
  8. This is a good site I use for information http://www.guitarhq.com/fender.html#serial
  9. There’s a sound sample and a few closer shots, looks nice
  10. I can’t see any problem in giving out the serial number, I’d give mine if I was selling them, most of the time it’s in the picture Of the back of the amp, depending what amp it is
  11. I was looking up Jason Arthur Welsh bass player after listening to a track earlier, and he played on these 2, really good player and nice Basslines and this really sounds like old school Aswad and steel Pulse with Brinsley Ford
  12. I saw that and I think I’ve seen it before somewhere, I remember the wear just above the pickguard, looks great
  13. Nice amps and basses, I don’t blame you for not taking it back to that guy, have you had a look through here to see if there’s anyone near you
  14. No idea nige, it’s not correct for a 65 and it’s one I’ve never seen on anything ever before, very strange
  15. What a great review, throughly enjoyed reading that JG
  16. Hi Mike, good to have you here, quite difficult to say really because there’s a whole world of reggae out there and lots of different styles, depends what you like, there’s a Spotify playlist of some of the songs here you might like to listen to some of my favourites are black Uhuru barrington levy Roots Radics (Flabba Holt) and I can definitely recommend Sly and Robbie
  17. That’s the one I’ve always known, the other one is very strange, but I just found it interesting that it’s a logo I’ve never seen before on anything
  18. Anyone ever seen a logo like this on a 65 L serial number Jazz , I’ve never seen it before
  19. That’s a real shame ,I think whatever option you choose you are going to have to remove the paint to make it playable, as much as I don’t like refinishes I would probably go down that path, good luck Bassman
  20. Same for me really, i grew up with reggae but always had a soft spot for funky stuff , it has to be done now and again
