  1. Same to you pulsebeat, great tune
  2. Im quite good with general IT stuff but a total layman when it comes to recording, I spent days trying to figure out reaper and and a few others, it’s probably simpler if you’ve got someone to show you and get you going, so I tried GarageBand and found it the easiest to work, probably quite limited for some but it does what I need which is to record my playing and play over songs I’m working on , maybe give that a try Dom
  3. Same here Piers, I play a 71 with LTF’s mainly , I came across bill a while back while looking into the Olinto P basses, he’s such a good player, they rarely come up for sale over here though, the few I have seen were well expensive
  4. I follow Bill and I like a nice groove , I’d never heard this song before , a bit tricky in places so I’m breaking it down bit by bit
  5. Nice bit of playing, just sounds like a standard jazz to me with both pickups on full with the tone rolled back a little, and roundwound strings playing close to the bridge
  6. Can’t remember if it was mentioned before but how cool looking is this Arkham amp, apparently they are made to order , has anyone ever tried one
  7. Tony bought some strings from me, paid instantly and let me know they arrived safely, pleasure to deal with, thanks tony
  8. Just a suggestion, have you looked at the Ashdown RM500, they really are a very good amp and I’d say you should get one around your budget
  9. I was wondering that too, do you think eBay will put the fee on top of the seller’s asking price , it says You’ll pay up to 4% of the item price, plus £0.75. For example, when you see an item for £20, the fee of £1.49 will already be part of the price
  10. Hi all, these are practically new, a shop fitted them new on a precision I bought, 5 minutes play time , I only really use LTF’s, price includes postage, cheers
  11. Hi all, TI flats fitted to my precision for a very short time, light use and in great condition, I’ve only got LTF packaging, price includes the postage , cheers
  12. It does look like it’s a single ply that’s been coloured to look like the originals, and it says single in the specs, Antigua isn’t a colour I’m fond of but they do look kinda cool
  13. Happy new year to you all, Dug out an old vinyl recently ,Fatman Riddim Section from a long time back, such a great album , pretty much inner circle but without Jacob Miller I believe , I remember buying this , Robbie Shakespeare on bass and another with Jacob and
  14. I tend to use the app on my iPhone, have you tried that Dave, maybe it might make a difference
  15. You’re not helping 😁
  16. I’m not disembarking the buying and selling train, it just wouldn’t be right 😂
  17. I’ve been looking through this thread and there’s some amazing ric’s here, I’ve only ever played one once a long time back, getting a bit of liking for these, dangerous 😁
  18. I don’t do fb either but it did let me see a little bit, looks like he’s flicking the strings fast with all his fingers after the slap and pop
  19. Welcome Syd
  20. I see this has been listed on reverb and eBay this morning, it certainly looks in amazing condition and says it’s never been used, not many like that around from 78, nice
  21. Just fit whatever strings you want, it takes a long long time to wear frets down, my 71 precision still has the original frets
  22. Boiling strings- The first step is to remove the strings from your bass.. I knew I was doing something wrong 😁
  23. Stumbled across this, great tone and amazing player Jisun Min
  24. Probably sounds a bit nerdy but I really enjoyed learning my scales and modes, I went through many books and videos, if I’m learning a Bassline the first thing I do now is see how it’s related to a scale, I also found running up and down the 2 octave good exercises, love a pentatonic too
  25. Welcome future
