  1. There was 2 I vaguely remember in Leytonstone high road, Freedman’s and Holiday Music, would’ve been around 78/80, I was having bass lessons as a teen and it was probably the first place I saw a fender jazz for sale but couldn’t afford anything like that then, I’ve made up for it since 😁, I found one pic but nothing for freedman’s
  2. I like the black blocks on a maple board, mainly because of Aston Barrett’s 71 jazz bass, but agree with the rest
  3. Neck through basses ( and I’ve got one) you can never get the action low enough and you can’t shim them Fast crazy show off slapping
  4. I don’t use the covers on my P and jazz basses, but my AVRI 62P came with the bridge cover fitted so I left it on, all my the screws go in a small sealable bag and stored in the hard cases, same with the thumb/finger rests and screws
  5. Very nice, looks like an L series and in really great condition
  6. Very cool little thing, and they do come up for sale now and again on reverb
  7. The mini precision and jazz doesn’t take up much space
  8. Hi Rob, I’ve spoken with Phil many times but we’ve never actually done a deal, last time was his 72P, he’s mainly guitars but does get some decent basses sometimes
  9. I don’t blame you tricky, if it has sentimental memories you have to keep it 🙂, they are both really nice 👍
  10. Hi pete, I like a bit of Ampeg myself, that looks great and don’t think they are particularly prone to any faults really, just play it and enjoy it whenever you can, good luck to you
  11. That was a beauty miles, I remember it well
  12. Yeah they do get some great ones sometimes, I saw that 1965 Fender Precision Bass the other day, it’s mint for the year beautiful
  13. I did the same and lasted about 8 seconds, never heard of Rumble before
  14. Loving that colour, nice one
  15. Just my opinion gregor, with vintage instruments some people like to study all the usual stamps, codes and internal pics before they make an enquiry, I myself like to see these, I think you may stand more chance of selling, anyway good luck with your sale, it looks great
  16. Nice one, glad you’re enjoying it
  17. Probably best I think given any issues the neck may have, I don’t know how long the auction has left to go but I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes into the 3-4k region
  18. Welcome BTB
  19. Been a bit busy this week and forgot to put a few up with Flabba on bass, it was his 75th birthday the other day and he’s still going strong, such a great player with exceptional timing , there’s so many to choose from so here’s a few, police in helicopter is probably one of my favourites, do you have any? Hugh Mundell Barrington Levy Sugar Minott
  20. A 64 neckplate should look like this , currently for sale on ATB
  21. It would be a good idea to go and have a look at it before bidding if possible to see what it’s really like up close
