  1. Hi pete, I’d keep an eye out for an AVRI 62 or 63 P, they are exceptional basses, I’ve got a 62 and I believe the difference is the 63 has a fuller neck profile where mine is slimmer from front to back which I find comfortable, they also hold their value and are pretty sought after, I can’t comment on Japanese I’ve never had one
  2. I don’t normally like stripped basses, but that is a lovely finish
  3. If you can miles try one of the necks with the B width nut, you might be pleasantly surprised, my 71 precision and all the early ones I’ve had have ( like most from 67/68) a 40mm nut but they are very comfortable , I’ve played mainly jazzes for years and I can pick up my P and not really notice a difference , the mid to late 70s ones can come up a bit chunkier, but not the earlier ones
  4. Nice work Leonard, I’d happily listen to that, good luck with your entry
  5. Just have to give this a play every now and then
  6. Yes I’m finding that too, lately my YouTube has been flooded with AI reggae, some of it I must admit is really good but very clean like you say, also some are using pictures of original artists to draw you in, when I’m sure it isn’t them singing
  7. Yeah I like that one too rob, I don’t think it’s a bad price either compared with some that are around
  8. I’ll keep an eye out for you, I’m always browsing
  9. I think many people wouldn’t know that she’s not actually playing those lines, I’ve got miss reggae lots of times with this old trick 😁
  10. Won’t they knock against each other there lefty, or is there more space than it looks
  11. That headstock 😗
  12. It is, and I’d like to play it, at one time I would only buy anything that was totally original and with the original case ,but as times gone on Ive relaxed on this as long as they play and feel really good and it’s reflected in the price , I’ve been offered lots that wasn’t original that I regret not buying
  13. The notching at the neck heel would suggest to me that it’s had work done on the truss rod or been replaced, which would put me off, and is there any routing under the pickguard from when an extra pickup was added?, it’s not one for me personally
  14. Having a Barrington levy day today, this is a favourite of mine, check out the mix and bass from 4.34
  15. I see that Khruangbin are playing tonight, I would have liked to see them I like some of their music, unfortunately I’m not around, is anyone lucky enough to be going
  16. I’m not overly familiar with the Ampeg B18 , I like this guy’s videos and it sounds really good here
  17. Welcome sushi
  18. Love these games , I’ll say jb2 is the flea with both pickups on full
  19. Thanks for that, coincidentally I’ve been listening to Earl lately and channel one sound system, this is a big one
  20. Yeah I saw that and thought the same, I’d say it’s a parts one put together
  21. I don’t normally go for the late 70s ones and usually i like as original as poss but I’ve got a strange attraction to this 77, I was looking for an early P bass to just leave at the studio , been watching it for ages https://ebay.us/m/wkghNy
