  1. I don’t blame you tricky, if it has sentimental memories you have to keep it 🙂, they are both really nice 👍
  2. Hi pete, I like a bit of Ampeg myself, that looks great and don’t think they are particularly prone to any faults really, just play it and enjoy it whenever you can, good luck to you
  3. That was a beauty miles, I remember it well
  4. Yeah they do get some great ones sometimes, I saw that 1965 Fender Precision Bass the other day, it’s mint for the year beautiful
  5. I did the same and lasted about 8 seconds, never heard of Rumble before
  6. Loving that colour, nice one
  7. Just my opinion gregor, with vintage instruments some people like to study all the usual stamps, codes and internal pics before they make an enquiry, I myself like to see these, I think you may stand more chance of selling, anyway good luck with your sale, it looks great
  8. Nice one, glad you’re enjoying it
  9. Probably best I think given any issues the neck may have, I don’t know how long the auction has left to go but I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes into the 3-4k region
  10. Welcome BTB
  11. Been a bit busy this week and forgot to put a few up with Flabba on bass, it was his 75th birthday the other day and he’s still going strong, such a great player with exceptional timing , there’s so many to choose from so here’s a few, police in helicopter is probably one of my favourites, do you have any? Hugh Mundell Barrington Levy Sugar Minott
  12. A 64 neckplate should look like this , currently for sale on ATB
  13. It would be a good idea to go and have a look at it before bidding if possible to see what it’s really like up close
  14. Just heard this on the radio, great old one and I’m pretty sure Robbie Shakespeare on bass
  15. This is just my opinion, There’s quite a lot of breakout on the fretboard probably from a bad refret, I’m on phone picks but they don’t look level either, wrong decal and knobs and 1 intonation screw is shorter , tuners and pickguard look original , the font on the neck stamp looks right to me , will have a better look later at home , I think I’ve seen this jazz up for sale before
  16. That’s great for your son, I’ve got one which I use for noodling on the sofa which has flats on, I think there’s a few suggestions in this thread which might be worth a flick though
  17. Yeah definitely, they are great, the only time I’d get rid of mine is if a B15 heritage came along
  18. Very nice indeed rich, your fingerboard looks lighter than my 71
  19. Nice one, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, if you are I’ll give you the money myself 😁
  20. Maybe put out a wanted ad here, see how it goes, you never know someone might be moving one on
  21. Interesting read, thanks for that
  22. Hi and welcome, quite a lot of the songs I learn there isn’t tab for, I always look first and if there is it gets me started although it sometimes isn’t correct, I tend to just learn by ear and breaking it down into sections, there is an app which I find useful called Looptube which lets you isolate sections and you can slow it down to make it easier, maybe give that a look
