  1. Same as above for me
  2. I’ve just given it a try with a P bass too, i like the amount that it dampens, it’s not too much, seems quite even across the strings aswell, quite pleased with it
  3. Just arrived, shall report back later 😁
  4. I’ve ordered one too, should be with me in a few days
  5. I’ve never really liked that earlier style P bass , i much prefer the last year 57- 58 onwards, but I’ve never played one, maybe if I did It might change my mind
  6. Doesn’t appear to be on the shops website yet, I’d guess a bit more than 18,500, depending on how original it is
  7. If Santa can fit a B15 heritage and a 63 precision down my chimney I’d very much appreciate it
  8. I think you’re right , now you mention it I think I remember a 66 jazz for sale somewhere near there
  9. Anyone near Stromness, 1966 P bass on gumtree, 3k
  10. Ive been looking at a few 66 Precisions so Ive been using my AVRI 62 more lately to see if I can get comfortable with the wider nut , it’s going alright really, can I ask what it is that your not liking about the sound or playing of yours
  11. For anyone who hasn’t heard this, it’s superb, good luck mickey
  12. I’m genuinely so happy you’ve been reunited with your suhr B5 and things are looking up for you, lovely gesture three, what a great community BC is
  13. Of all the various mutes and devices I’ve got I usually resort to my trusty foam, but it’s good fun to try these things
  14. It looks good, I do like the muted sound especially on my P basses, unless I’m not seeing something, how does it mute the G string if it goes under it
  15. Ive got tapes on a few of my jazzes, I’ve never tried it but I wouldn’t cut them down past the silks myself, can’t they just be returned for the right ones
  16. Going through my Lee Perry collection last night and came across this lovely track I haven’t heard in a while with Junior Byles
  17. Really dark fretboard too, i like that, I’d be interested to know who owned it before
  18. Wunjo have got a few in at the moment, the 64 jazz has got some serious play wear, looks genuine so it must have been played for years looking at the back, they also got a 72 jazz which I’ve enquired about https://share.google/jCYtp8qSFhcS08mP0
  19. A few for a Friday ,thought I’d do a bit of a mixture today, a new one from Stick Figure I’m liking, pretty easy listening and some Winston Edwards You can’t listen to Aswad without playing this
  20. I have had this with a few vintage bass cases, it’s hard to totally get rid of the odour , leaving outside in the sun didn’t really help, I have got some of those fresh smell pouches in the pocket of the cases which does help, also be careful what you use on the fabric so it doesn’t affect the finish on your bass, especially if it’s a nitro lacquer
  21. That looks well difficult, I’d say that’s harder than some of the jamerson ones I’m trying my hand at , good luck
  22. Shake n vac to put the freshness back, remember that 🤓
  23. Something a little different for me, Laura Lee‘s bass playing , i like this one
  24. Nothing sounds like a P bass apart from a P bass, my jazzes can get close but not the same
