  1. Welcome DJ
  2. Thanks Sam, hope you are keeping well, it’s a lovely one
  3. Very nice indeed, I nearly bought one of those a while back but a AVRI 62 stack knob that @walshy had caught my eye so I went for that, congrats wot
  4. I saw them many years ago in my youth with a friend who was a big fan, from what I can remember he was playing it just as in that video, very fast player
  5. Just to add to this for information, I would go for the labella mini P bass flats next time, don’t try labella LTF’s short scale as I did because the E string snapped, I had a set of Rotosound Jazz Bass Flatwound Monel 40-90 Bass Guitar Strings, Short Scale in the drawer and they on mine now and sounding good
  6. Basically when a neck does this
  7. I actually think it’s quite a nice jazz
  8. I see what you’re saying, It’s a possibility as there are extra screw holes on the back of the neck , unless they were from the factory, hard to say really
  9. I’ve only just seen this Chris, and your YT channel, I’m learning some Jamerson and your playing is amazing, really great work
  10. Think that’s where the tug bar has been tightened down and the lacquer has impressed onto the back of the pickguard , same with a few of the screws
  11. Very nice and the best colour too imo
  12. How does the rest of the jazz look, i like the 65
  13. The logo looks right to me, wasn’t it placed on top of the lacquer in 65 , depending on where it’s been stored I’d say some fading is normal
  14. I’m liking this, check out Answer at 17.57, Ed Bassie is sounding great
  15. I’ve been using labella LTF’s for many years, I find them perfect for reggae and dub , a couple of my precisions have labella 760FL which are also great, I find them the best
  16. Only just seen this, love it frank , I’ve got the adidas Rasta one
  17. How about some Omar Perry today
  18. That’s a really great looking CS mark, the guard fitted looks better I think
  19. Welcome Alanko, that looks good on your P bass
  20. Congrats, I had a 414 , really great bass and I’ve got a 1024 which does sound slightly different but also very good, I like the easy selection of pickups with the little switch
  21. This sounds a bit worrying if that’s what happened
  22. I haven’t been defeated yet on the reggae and dub front , but a few other basslines I like are really challenging for me from different genres , and unless I devote myself totally on them ill never get them down properly, they are, Rhythm stick Stomp- brothers Johnson Some of James Jamerson ones
  23. I’d say that could be the original case, the logo with the made in USA underneath and the R symbol was used mid to late 70s, really nice colour and checking on body, very cool
