  1. A couple for a Friday, first up is one we all know and always good to hear and on a heavier level Hopeton Junior, quite a dub mix at 3.10, love this
  2. I did that once on one of my jazzes, I superglued it back and it’s been there for about 7 years, is that a possibility for you
  3. I suppose there’s good and bad in all different ones , I’ve never had a bad American one myself , neither has anyone I know, you get what you pay for
  4. In glad you’ve mentioned this, I often hear hear how there’s not much difference between a squier and US made bass, in my experience there is a big difference, I bought my nephew an affinity jazz and it felt and sounded nothing like my CS and AVRI jazzes, it was an older one and I’m sure they’ve improved since, I can’t say if the price difference is worth it because that’s up to the individual , they both do the same job but I think it’s what makes you happy and feel good playing
  5. Miss Reggae helps me choose them, I showed her a nice 66 precision the other day and she said, not another sunshineburst colour 😁
  6. Never seen that one before with an R, could it be a custom build
  7. I’ve got one, there’s a thread on it somewhere, can’t remember if I paid £80 or £100, I’d say it’s well overpriced
  8. I prefer my B2A in active mode, flicking that little switch really adds some low end, I’ve got the labella flats too, absolutely ideal for my reggae and dub
  9. Labella Olinto are purple with a white stripe
  10. Hi, Labella only do 2 strings with purple silks, the low tension flats are like this
  11. Nice chill out one this morning
  12. I’m sure you can , but if it’s fenders that only appeal to you then you probably won’t want anything else , I’ve had many other makes but always end up going back to a fender precision or jazz
  13. I only play fenders now really and over the years I’ve had a lot of different ones , imo the AVRI series are the better ones, especially the earlier ones which is what I have, I couldn’t find much difference with them and the custom shop models by way of quality, the 62 RI jazz and precision are my favourites along with a few vintage
  14. I see some of rod Stewart as miss RB was watching it, even though he was out of tune I did find it entertaining and good for him for having a go at his age, also I think his bass player changed basses 3 times, one looked like an early 70s P
  15. Glastonbury black Uhuru, only 1 original member now but still sound pretty good
  16. Black Uhuru are my favourite band and I play a lot of their basslines but there’s quite a few that trip me up if I haven’t played them in a while, Robbie Shakespeare had a wonderful way of slightly changing things around part way through, darkness is one
  17. I’ve probably heard their music but I didn’t recognise the name, thanks ill check them out
  18. Cymande are pretty funky, nice bass tone, never heard of them before
  19. Glad your brother is doing good Ramirez, it’s not my normal genre of music but that’s superb, excellent all round
  20. Managed to find this, they are sounding good
  21. I’m just looking now but don’t think it’s there
  22. Thanks Frank I’ll check that out, I didn’t know they were playing
  23. Congrats cat, I did similar with my Hohner B2A, I bought it to try and love it, I found it a bit strange on a strap at first
  24. Nice old jazz there, would look nice in Olympic white, and with a nitro finish it would wear naturally
  25. Ah yeah, I think you’re right pow
