  1. If nothing else a PJ gives you more places to rest your thumb when playing, so giving you more tonal options.
  2. Ah Swedemason, he's a clever dude. I like this one
  3. It's also worth noting that batteries should be removed before putting a bass into storage as they can leak over time.
  4. I have another 51P style bass for sale + a Cort Curbow and a Hutchins Thunderbolt Tele-style. All in the classifieds at the moment.
  5. I voted yes btw, nothing wrong with a Squier at all. I started playing bass around 1988 when they were still cheap!
  6. A Thunderbird without the stupid 3-point bridge, nice
  7. Just to add this weighs 4.2kg according to the missus' baking scales
  8. Using my missus' baking scales I make it just under 4kg
  9. More photos, also has Hutchins soft case + certificate.
  10. This has sold (on eBay) Due to a cashflow imbalance I am selling some of my bass guitars (more flowing out than in at the moment) I'm really reluctant to let this one go, so if I correct the imbalance soon enough it'll be withdrawn. It's in great condition - apart from one small dent shown in the photos, protective film still on the pickguard and pickups. It sounds amazing - zingy and bright from the bridge pickup whilst the neck pickup is properly fat. Price includes postage or delivery in person if you are reasonably local- if you want to collect from just outside Trowbridge in Wiltshire I will knock off £20
  11. Due to a cashflow imbalance I am selling some of my bass guitars (more flowing out than in at the moment) Here is a 51P style 4 string from Freya guitars in Ireland, it's a great looking thing and sounds really good. I have barely played it as I don't get on with the neck - it has a 38mm top nut and my fat fingers just can't cope! Of my many basses it's the only one with this slim a nut.. It's actually blonde rather than white, hard to tell on-screen - still has all the protective film on the pickguard and control plate, which may look a bit wierd in the photos. Price includes postage or delivery in person if you are reasonably local- if you want to collect from just outside Trowbridge in Wiltshire I will knock off £20
  12. This has gone - traded with @anzoid Due to a cashflow imbalance I am selling some of my bass guitars (more flowing out than in at the moment) First up is this Cort Curbow 4, it's a great bass in really good condition. Freshly setup with new D'addario nickel 45-105 strings, it plays fantastically. There are a couple of small marks on the fingerboard which I have tried to photograph and some dark patches on the lacquer near the top nut. Unfortunatley as I am 6'3" and not small it just doesn't suit me, so I am offering it for pretty much what I paid for it but with the added benefit of new strings and battery. Price includes postage or delivery in person if you are reasonably local- if you want to collect from just outside Trowbridge in Wiltshire I will knock off £20. This is a real lightweight too - just 3.3kg is what I make it according to the kitchen scales..
  13. £1275 for a squier? The world really has gone mad!
  14. I recently had this arrive for a clean and setup as a friend was wanting to sell it. I have really gelled with it, so much so that I'm keeping it! Just a Stagg, but not bad
  15. Regarding the position of the zero fret - is it where the nut would normally be or is it more like Buzz Feiten's system?
