  1. Loved my little tryout of the piccolo Andy
  2. These guys have a good range https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F222901026624
  3. Still here - these are unbelievable value when you consider the quality of components used. If it doesn't sell I may just have to make a new body for it
  4. Mine was in a band called 25 Views of Worthing. He played the bass.
  5. The finished items section of my eBay watch list is full of missed opportunities. Facebook is great for bargains these days apparently, for cars as well as instruments - doesn't tempt me to start using it again though.
  6. ^^ I reckon that's because piano gave you an understanding of chord structure, which I didn't really get until I picked up guitar
  7. I like a bend, especially bending before plucking and then returning to natural. It's a good way to emulate some of the fluidity of fretless on a fretted.
  8. I have been playing bass on and off for nearly 30 years, but have only recently managed to get my head (and fingers!) around guitar. I am finding it beneficial but not essential.
  9. I'm definitely not selling mine - especially since I fitted one if David's Stinger preamps with single/parallel/series switch.
  10. That really does look like a moustache!
  11. I wasn't sure I could handle full LED. You were the only one brave enough to try out the BC Rich - have you recovered yet?!
  12. Really enjoyed my little go on Jim's Status above, I had to give it back straight away before I got too attached to it! Gert lush it is
  13. I have an old set of Rokit 8 which have buzzes now and then, I keep meaning to research capacitor upgrades but never get round to it - just turn them up!
  14. Have to agree with you there, Bassbod's has made me think about switching to roundwounds on my 4-string fretless
  15. Was that the Status that I tried Jim? That was amazing
  16. I can only echo the sentiments expressed above - a fantastic effort by all the Scrumpies and Scrumpettes. Great food was much appreciated, special mention to the frittata which was amazing! My GAS hasn't diminished, unsurprisingly - my want list has a few new additions after today. Big thanks to all who allowed me to try some of their really quite excellent bass guitars. It was great to meet you all
  17. There's actually 3 substitutions in the radio version of Peaches - bummer becomes summer as you say. Oh sh*t becomes Oh no, and the word bikini replaces clitoris bizarrely.
  18. I meant to update this. No changes except that I now have a choice of genuine Fender hardcases to transport this in and I have been playing it. I did a bit of research too - the serial number on the neckplate combined with it being A09.. makes it a Japanese market model, so may have travelled a bit
