  1. They're renowned for their deep and meaningful insights into life... . . But seriously that's a nice looking bass :-)
  2. I have sent a couple of bass guitars with Parcelforce recently and nowhere in their terms and conditions could I find any restrictions on sending them.
  3. I am revisiting mine, maybe I just need to try harder..
  4. I could mention a nice blonde 51 rep on Gumtree at the moment but it may be against the rules? Apologies in advance if it is!
  5. I have even tried learning to use a plectrum to play mine as my fat fingers can't cope with the string spacing at the bridge end, but I am just not a plectrum player. It's a shame as it's a great sounding bass.
  6. I don't like 38mm and could definitely tell the difference blindfolded. I am selling one of mine for this exact reason.
  7. @Al Krow I am not sure tbh, I think the first thing is to check the wiring, test the pickups etc. I have a set of pickups to try here too. @Barking Spiders I agree, I couldn't believe how nice it is for the money.
  8. @Al Krow thanks! That looks about right. It's definitely no lightweight considering the compact dimensions - it's not much bigger than my Curbow but has noticeably more mass. It sounds great, but could do with more bridge tone.
  9. I am pretty sure it's a V940 Active Bubinga - pickups are unmarked but probably Wilkinson. The bridge pickup is very quiet for some reason which may well be an excuse to upgrade . It looks good in the natural wood section of my herd!
  10. My latest acquisition is a Vintage fretless, great for the money.. For me it was first Pino, then Les Claypool that made me want to play fretless as well.
  11. That's really nice, and I have recently realised how much I prefer natural finishes. Need to thin out the herd a bit first however..
  12. I was thinking the same, would you be willing to post it?
  13. This is my third - I bought a B10 with a busted neck and the lefty B20 with a right handed B20 neck fitted (still has the original model sticker on the back). It has the B10 body and preamp, B20 neck, pickups and hardware. The body was bashed about a bit so I sanded the whole thing to a matt finish except the ABT logo, with a touch of relic-ing to smooth out the dents. My first was a white B10, picked it up in the early nineties. I defretted it but lost it after losing contact with a guy who had it in his workshop. Second was another B10, this had been taken back to bare plywood and played lovely. I had a declutter and put it on eBay where it fetched the grand sum of £26
  14. B20 you say? If I had seen that for sale I may not have built this from two..
  15. My partner asked how many bass guitars I need.. My answer - all of them!
  16. Mine is a Q5 Pro, I have kept it for sentimental reasons - I didn't have an eBay account when I got it, my best mate bid on it for me. A few years later he died in a car crash after being diagnosed with terminal cancer so I can't bring myself to sell it.
  17. I don't like mine, which is not it's fault. Turns out I don't like 5-string basses with narrow saddle spacing.
  18. Thanks guys, I go by many names!
