  1. Came off a Fender US special jazz bass. 2nd hand but good condition. There's a tiny amount of blemishing on it but you'd need to really be looking to see it. comes with the screws Rather than it just lying about, thought id see if anyone would make use of it? £10.00 delivered.
  2. Bass collection jazz bass, although the neck might be a bit slimmer
  3. My experience of that song is drummers quite often play it oddly, mainly in the verses...so be prepared to make adjustments! If you don't have a keyboardist and you fancy a wee tapping solo, check out Billy Sheehan on Mr bigs cover. Simple major and minor arpeggios. Pretty much 2 shapes in different positions. Stick a wee boost on and voila, instant keyboard solo done on bass!
  4. It sounds perfectly fine by the way! Don't have an amp head to try it in isolation but as an ext cab for my 1x10 combo it works a treat! What's a pita though is the project I built this for bought some subs for our pa about 2 days after I'd finished it, so i actually don't need it anymore! Everythings through the pa so back to ampless gigging! 😅 oh well, it was a bit if fun!
  5. Oooer what a lovely pair. I'll need to get a p at some point!
  6. Price now 210 delivered to UK With case! Bargain!
  7. Don't get me wrong... Mine plays (played) great and looks lovely, I would just spend over a k slightly differently!
  8. I played one for ten years. Great bass. But I got mine for 540 brand new. And just sold it for a bit less! You'll love it, and the looks will get you compliments even when the playing won't... Trust me I know! 😅 😅
  9. 1k?? Jeeez... Great basses but not 1k+. Look great though and are super light!
  10. And let's be honest, people move on decent gear all the time for a variety of reasons. The classifieds section wouldn't work if it was only sub par gear!
  11. Bass collection. Amazing for little money. I have for sale in the classifieds.
  12. Needs a good clean..... 😅 😅 It's lovely! I especially love the hardware! Does it feel like playing a beat up bit of wood? As in, is the finish smooth or can you feel the bumps round the scraped areas?
  13. Well... new to me! Got it off ebay as a bit of a impulse purchase, but I've fancied a wee change for a wee while and I *Think* it was a decent price so i treated myself! Plays like a dream and the neck is lovely, although its a lacquered which I'm not used to. It came with a big chuck out the paint work, which I've simply gave a light glossing, and I've fired on a black 3-ply pick guard. Always fancied an allblack Fender with Maple neck. Now I have it! Doesn't seem to be much talk on here talking about the Special model, what what i gather it was just a cheaper level model under the US standard? Anyway... i like it!
  14. interesting! cheers for the link. looks like they'll get my business!
  15. Need your help! I'm going to get a black one for a fender jazz I've purchased. The genuine fender ones seem to be 3 to 4 times the price of no named ones I've seen. Apart from being more 'authentic', is there any real benefit over the cheap non branded ones? Or do you really see a difference? Cheap because they're thin and made from a different material?
  16. Neck and fretboard are in good condition. Edit. Just noticed a dink on the neck around 2nd fret. Positioned around the middle. Around 3mm wide.
  17. ***Price drop 300 pounds! *** Here is a 'fine' example of a fender aerodyne Jazz bass. This has been well gigged and well abused. Good things: Its a great bass. Plays well, sounds amazing, and has a lovely neck. This was my main bass up until a few years ago. It has a Seymour duncan jazz pickup which is buzz free. You'll get the original supplied in the sale. Relatively rare. Tuners are immense, tuning is rock solid. The back doesnt look nearly as bad as the photo suggests Bad things: body work pretty poor. its been scraped, and burned and looks a bit sorry for itself. I've recently sprayed the back with the genuine candy apple red spray paint but obviously this was just a hash job and only looks fine under stage lights. In fact the whole body looks abit scabby but ok, under stage lights, but under daylight its a different matter. the electrics need a once over. Everything works, but just a bit crackly. Knobs are tarnished through use. Overall needs TLC. If you're looking for a recording bass, then this is what you need. a wee bit of work and it'll be back to its best. Could be cool as a live bass too if you accept the scrappy look. I love this bass, but its been sitting under my bed for about 2 years literally not doing anything, so I think i want to move it on. No other reason than that. I can deliver within 30 miles of Glasgow for petrol cost. can meet up in city centre too. Delivery set at £30.00 to UK, but you can arrange courier no probs.
  18. Price drop... 200 pounds delivered NOW INCLUDING HARDCASE Here is my #1 bass. I've been using this for nearly 2 years as my 'go to' for every gig and session I've done since I've owned it. Plays really nicely, and has a very punchy sound to it. Roll off the bridge pickup though, and you get a very different beast! I recommend these basses whenever someone wants to buy a £200-£300 bass. I've yet to play a bass in that price range that beats this for play ability and sound. This comes with a Babicz bridge which adds sustain. Neck is slim in my opinion, and I've had the action low on it (although its a little higher at the moment because last gig I did was a recording thing and needed to be super clean) I'm selling simply because I want to try something new. Not for any reason other than GAS! I've had a good look and there's a few little dings, but the paintwork as far as i can see is perfect. electronics are fine. One of the tiny screws is missing from the bridge, however this has never had any impact on the saddle. I can deliver within 30 miles of glasgow for petrol cost, and can meet up in Glasgow city no probs.
  19. Bass collection jazz bass Fender aerodyne jazz Into Zoom b3n Into (when an amp is needed) Carvin mb10 combo with homebuilt 1x10 ext cab Cheap and cheerful but does exactly what I want and sounds great!
  20. As long as your expectations are realistic then it'll work fine.
  21. Maybe you're right. Looks like you are. I'll withdraw my query.
  22. I know, but the ms60b allowed me to do it
  23. Yep, I'd stick to the phaser. Compressor then phaser
  24. I could easily get a perfectly giggable setup for under 200 cabbage. In fact, you could probably push it under 150 if you could afford to wait for the deals to appear. My #1 bass was 250 second hand, and my amp was 200 quid second hand. So, even my current 'decent' setup was pretty cheap!
