1. Anyone else got any insight into this? I'm currently awaiting delivery of a b3n, and looking forward to it! I'll b able to a/b it against my ms60b but to be honest I find it really difficult to hear slight nuances when it comes to tone so i think I'd quite like to hear other points of view.
2. Pmd.... Very much doubt I was the first

Zoom ms 60 b
I use one for one band where I'm not doing any effects changes - it's easy to have one effect switched but trickier when it's more than one. Not really viable in the same song but as long as you remember to switch the active effect between songs, it's fine. Good tuner, and the effects are good too.
I agree. It's possible but not easy and requires forward planning. For mucking about at home, or having it for 'always on' effects it's great.

You'll be pleasantly surprised at the sounds you get out it. I use mine every gig as my preamp, comp, eq and tuner. High gain stuff isn't great... But what digital multifx get glowing reviews for that kind of stuff anyway? It's svt through a 8x10 cabsim is good though when the gains a bit higher. Buy one! Join the club!
5.
Have you thought about the Amphones? You can detach the quarter inch jack and use them as regular headphones as well. https://www.gak.co.u...kcaAjJMEALw_wcB
Never used these but I'd be more tempted to put the dollar into a nice set of headphones to use in conjuction with amplug.
6. I used to aim to get the action as low as possible, but I find now it's a bit higher. If I'm recording tend to raise it a touch too just to avoid rattles* but live you can get away with a bit more. I have a mate who's bass you'd could fit a double decker through at the 12th fret but he's immense, so clearly works for him. *I know there's more to setting up your bass than raising the saddles but it works for me.
7. Could get a b3... Bit might be a bit overkill for your use. For what it's worth, I had a vox amplug and I thought it did the job perfectly well! Are you earphones/ headphones up to the job?
8.
Down on the E A D and up on the G.
I hadn't realised until now bit that's how I do it. I think it's just you're fingers naturally want to grip down the way but with the g there's just not enough neck to bend into, so I need to bend up the way. Certainly not been a conscious decision!
9. There's also a few fly rig knock offs that are slightly better layed out, at a lot less money. I use a zoom ms60b. Metal casing. To my ears, everything except the fuzzes and dirt sound good. And I've gigged it extensively.
10.
It was indeed. They pop up fairly often on the used market though.
I seem to remember a replacement of some sort too
11.
I had a Yamaha RBX765A for 17yrs til the electricky bits packed up. I could have fixed it but was having a bad time and it went to the tip along with the guitar I got for my 18th birthday and practice amp.
Ouch! My mate got his takamine acoustic from the tip. He used to work there and managed to dig it out. He reckons the woman who threw it in was doing it through spite as there's no way she would have thought it was worthless.
12. I've had my fender aerodyne jazz for ten years now, it was my number 1 for about 8 of those, it's all bashed up and has diy repairs so it's not worth alot and I've done alot of cool gigs with it so I'll not be selling it.
13. Aye, actually I realised I could click on his name after I'd posted! Doh
14. I'm a jazz bass into an ms60b as my preamp. I've got an amp but it's just used when I really need to. I'm currently using the svt amp sim as my main sound and eq in the ms60b . Dead easy!
15.
If are just going to be using the MS-60B for one only thing per live set (it's also a really good tuner pedal btw) then I agree it is a good option. But if you know that you are going to use for just one thing (e.g. synth) and not anything else then not sure whether it makes sense to have a multi-fx? I would have thought a dedicated filter or octave/filter (e.g. COG T16) pedal would be better?
I'd agree with this. It's more a utility pedal for me. I don't think I'd buy another one just for one effect. Saying that, I've used it many a time just as atuner.
16. I've owned both, and as a 'multi' FX I'd go for the b3. On the ms60b, you can set up patches and you can switch between them but it's not the most flexible of process. However, I use the ms60b every gig I play. As I basically have but setup as Octaver > noise reduction > compressor > preamp. I have it sitting on the octaver so it's switchable on and off, and the others are always on. Plus it's my tuner. For me, it works brilliantly but I can see the limitations won't suit everyone.
17. Not tried the power bass but my #1 is a bass collection jazz, and it's a beauty. Apart from the hideous logo on the headstock of course! If I was going for a p bass I'd certainly be looking at bass collection again.
18. got mine the other day, absolutely brilliant strings!
19.
Says £8 now! no fair!
You need to put the voucher code in and it'll change to 2 quid
20. I had one for a while. I loved it, but mines died. Cheap fix but it still died. It was also clinically clean so not for everyone. Extremely loud
21. If you can afford to keep it, I would. I have a funny feeling these might be worth a decent wedge in a few years. Mines never sees light of day anymore and normally I sell gear as soon as it's redundant, but I'm keeping this with my fingers 🤞
22. Cheap purchase from eBay, local so i took a punt. Sounds really quite good and plays decently. I think the nut could be doing with a trim down. It's unlined so I don't see me gigging this anytime soon but it's definitely an interesting one to add to the collection! God I really need to decorate!!
23. In my experience some people are just a bit mad and get into things a bit too much. As long as a sensible distance is kept then I'm not sure what the problem is.
