2.
I just bought it. Fate wanted me to have it. Turns out the seller has seen my band play, and we've exchanged myspace messages, and he was coming to our next gig anyway, which he is bringing the cab too. And we'd already hired a van. Wooo.
congratulations! let me know how you get on with it. andy ps, here's another one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ashdown-ABM-8x10-Bas...%3A1|240%3A1318

 4.
Its almost identical to my Trace Elliot V8 810 cab 1150 650 400, If only ............. I could use the two 810's and get down to 2 ohms wonder what the watts would be at 2 ohms? If its the same caster design its not really much of a pig to move, only when it needs lifting.
this would be awesome!!! its the proper one too! it wouldn't up the wattage at two ohms but would give you some headroom! andy
 5. a proper one too! should be either English made Celestions or USA made Eminence - the real deal!

 7. would seem fair to me! attitude special was £400 new, the attitude ltd was £1050 new so yours being somewhere in the middle (at that time 91+) would seem to be priced right! good luck andy
 8. Bought my atttitude special new in 1994 for £400 andy
 9. how much please? andy
 10. The Ashdown James Lomenzo hyperdrive is a pretty cool sounding and flexible pedal coupled with the fact that it has tue bypass and a mix mode.
then u can try to find him and ask him to sign your bass... that's the difference, don't you think?... ok, maybe 1800€ is a little high...
Billy has signed my bass! doesn't make it worth any more, to you and me personally, yes but then I couldn't or wouldn't want to personally gain from a famous person who took the time to do this as a favour. the market value for these basses is what it is...think how long yours is taking?? Shockwave bought a secondhand mk2 in brand new condition with shop tags still on for less than what you want for your mk1 - go figure. Your bass is superb and I would dearly love a mk1 in red for my collection but personally even with billy's signature I wouldn't give anymore than £500. good luck
 12. Cheers Sean, slick exchange, very quick payment - spot on communications and decent all round guy to deal with! enjoy the cab andy

 15. the bb714 is a very rocky bass but...its real smooth in delivery. the woofer pup gets right in the way of slapping, so I'm afraid to say the the bb414 is a right slapper! never actually played a bb414?? was about to buy one for modification when I saw the bb714 on the Yamaha website and, I guess, the rest is history as they say! yes the woofer can be turned off using the pot closest to it. check out link here: http://basses.yamaha-europe.com/newbass.php contains pics of two new basses and video of evolution... andy
 16.
OK, so I finally decided to buy a BB414. It's due in this week in fact. Now I'm really curious about this! Any idea how they compare? How does the neck pickup work out? Is it useable on it's own or really just to supplement the P? I'm guessing the BB714 sounds more Gibson-like whereas the BB414 sounds more Fender-like (??)
No! the bb714bs has many tones with the woofer pup off it sounds like a p with the woofer on it sounds monsterous! the woofer does emulate an eb0 very well infact, the pup is more dynamic being able to pick-up string pulls and bends. I cant recomend the bb714 more, it is a superb instrument, well made, good pups and electrics. incredibly fast playable neck. andy

 18.
If we are thinking along TB lines, how about the "if you post a piece of kit for sale there must be a price" rule. Otherwise we are Ebay, and that exists already. I know I could just ignore it.
god call!
 19.
I think you should only be allowed to BUMP after you have had sex (and yourself shouldnt count).
Well I suppose this means I'm well fecked then!! or will that count because I'm fecked for no getting fecked??
 20. definitely agree! I bump mine every two or three days after deleting some/most of the previous bumps. probably would be difficult to moderate though?? perhaps as a community we need shake-up and re-think the classified and...perhaps a fee is overdue also? andy
 21. Wee bit further info: Ashdown Neo 810 cabinet - 60kg Warwick 811 ND - 51kg EBs Classic line 810 - 55kg (non neo speakers) Ampeg SVt Classic (non neo) - 140lbs Hartke HX810 - HyDrive Bass Cabinet - 135lbs Mark bass CL 108 neo - 40.8kg Aguilar db810 - 184lb (non neo) Mesa 810 powerhouse - 173lbs (non neo) Marshall MBC810 - 70kg (non neo) Laney Nexus810 neo 46.5kg Gallien Kruger 810blx - 158lbs (non neo) Hughes and Kettner Q810pro - 62kg Fender 810pro - 72.5kg (non neo) Trace Elliot 1084h - 66kg for ease of use the Mark bass 810 is the clear winner on weight, the loser at a whopping 184lbs is aguilar. to be clear, I looked at the websites of all these manufacturer's and took the lowest weight 810 cab. If I have missed anything please correct. andy
 22. thats really interesting stuff Alex! I've often wondered what the difference would be considering the main weight would centre around cabinet construction. My 810 wieghs in at 140lbs which is 44lbs less than my previous 2 x 410he cabs, so now my task for today is to find out how much various 810 neo's would wiegh and what kind of construction would be incorporated for reducing wieght all round. andy

 24.
Well, three things 1. I can't always get a model when I need to photograph instruments 2. I thought it might be a nice change to display one without the admittedly glorious stands. 3. Hopefully that'll satisfy those who have made snidey comments about the girls and why my gear sells. Despite the fact that anyone who has bought from me will know the quality kit I offer. Actually, point 3 is a complete lie - I couldn't give a flying
just as well! keeps me smiling those photos! andy
 25. Sold to Mr Robinson cheers andy
