2. after thirty years...I'm still playing! money or ego trips dont interest me - I am simply playing for enjoyment, be that for personal (practice) or along with the band. andy

 5.
Would you apply this logic to everything in life ? if so we should all be driving round in new cars , living in new houses and playing new basses ? In my book there is not better out there so why should I move on just because these guys are old / dead. I view them in the same way as I would Bach or Mendelssohn, both are dead but one I still enjoy listening to.
I think if we take what ARGH is saying in context, we should develop and better our own ideas and techniques without looking to the past or becoming clones of what went before. Individuality is very important, become all you can be...I tried very hard for a long while there to play like billy sheehan - hopeless it was! I now know who I am, what my sound, style and technique is, it is me! Not technically brilliant nor ground breaking, could get much better but developing me is more fun. andy
 6. it's all a bit marmite! ARGH - that was some reply! you studying law? name and telephone number please...
 7.
Metal Its the genre you Jazzers fear, because it out improvises you,and the musicians are stronger, and far far more innovative, both in note choice and equipment. And best of all.......WE AINT SMUG ABOUT IT AND CHICKS LIKE US!!!
lol! this still does it for me: does anyone have the tab for this or know where to get it? 11.
I've had Sunn's,Ampeg's,Mesa's (All Tube's) and a V6 and the V6 was the sweetest one to my ears without a doubt, but I do like KT66 a lot anyway it is the tube of choice for bass IMO.
I'm sure its kt88's but could be wrong! however, have to agree the v6 is the sweetest most nicest one out of the three, the v8 is boutique but...mine the v4 is a roaring in your face monster!!!

 15.
"Just off to Bristol to pick up some Xmas shopping dear...." Good luck explaining that one when you bring it home, Phil. Nice bass though - actually tell her it was in the sales and you saved hundreds. Women understand that logic.
yep agree with that! however tell her it was buy one get one free they really go for that! andy
 16. I'll stick with my yammies!
 17.
I'd say it was owned by a bass player with a penchant for Japanese bikes. In the auction Q&A there's a Norwegian guy who seems to know a fair bit a bout it - seems to think it's German.
went back and took at look at that comment - very interesting indeed more so the 'warwick factory' still think its an old kay though! andy
