    Agree 100% This is easily a £2k bass given the mk3 is £4K new and the newest version the wife tribute is £6k. Good luck mate as those are awesome basses!

    I had the BBG5 of which is very similar to the N5 and thought is was excellent. The TRB style soap bars work for me on many levels, tone, clarity and growl but they are place perfectly for my finger playing. I miss my TRB5 mk1, the single best 5 string ever!     I relocated said nippy rear strap button to a more suitable place for me. I love practicing with the Spector as is so easy to play when sitting down but not so great standing up at rehearsals.

    You know, this thread could end up being a goldmine for folks thinking about getting a custom bass built for them. So much to think about especially getting the nippy thing just right.

    Thought I'd add this thread to see what nipped folks about basses? I have a rather lovely Spector Euro LT4 in violin burst, it is gorgeous and sounds amazing due to the Darkglass preamp and Bartolini pups, BUT ... the top horn is not inline with the 12th fret and it throws me off! Coupled with that is the stupid location of the rear strap button! I've gone back to using my trusted and familiar US P. Auld moaning git no1 - Andy PS, happy new year y'all

    I think you are making a big msitake! From the one pick, I'll bet it is absolutely stunning all over You'll never get that again and when you consider the price of Sterling Rays 34/35 around the £1300 in GG, you may find a replacement (should you realise your potential mistake) unaffordable in the near future. DON'T DO IT, YOU WILL REGRET IT!! All the best, Andy

    I have the 4 string version and what a bass it is!! The Barts coupled with the Darkglass preamp is amazing!
