  1. Plays and sounds amazing. It has the Bart pups and Darkglass pre, what a combination. T40 is an amazing bass and seriously collectible. Prices are rising fast on them.
  2. I recently bought a Spector Euro 4LT VF, I absolutely love it and have no feeling for any other bass for sale.
  3. I like Eminence and Celestian speakers but I really like the HD speakers Hartke put in their cabs, the paper and aluminium neodymiums. They have lots of presence and punch just as I like it. AH please don't burst my bubble by saying they are Chinese pap lol 😮
  4. Nothing will ever beat my former Ampeg CL and 8x10e cab! The thunder was instant and awesome however, all good things come to an end. The weight and size factor was problematic on a few fronts for me. No permanent practice room nor storage capability because I live in a flat, and living in a flat comes with its own problems re noise. So had to move it on unfortunately. I do have a 3pro and PF50T of which are both great but I took a chance on the Bugera and haven't looked back since. I have a Hartke AK410 & HX112 that are great and are not too bad for lugging around if I need to. Quite happy with the light weight gear I have as is easy to move, store and transport. I love the tone and power of the Bugera and it performs well with all the cabs I have and others I've plugged it into.
  5. I have 2xTCE BC208s and a Bugera BV1001t, sounds great and can lug em all about no bother! The Bugera fits in one of my gig bag pockets as does the L6 HX Stomp and cabling. So, bass and gear in gig bag on back and can carry both cabs - one in each hand - onto the bus - should I wish or need to - and go to gig. That was the kinda acid test for my latest rig because traffic and travelling in Edinburgh is awful.
  6. Y'know I guess there is an irony in all of this, all these PA array systems that are set up in venues and large events, are run by digital pre and power amps so, no matter if you have a digital or valve or hybrid or whatever, the hook up will end out being digital reproduction. I totally love the Ampeg SVT Classic although, I don't own one anymore, but I will one-day when I get my garage and sound proof it. Modify the garage to be a small pub with a stage and stuff and create thunder albeit before the Police arrive. My current bass amps: Ampeg SVT-3pro Ampeg PF-50T Bugera BV1001T - £239 monster! TCE BH250 TCE BAM Hotone Thunder bass Hotone Badass - I practice with this little beastie
  7. Just bought a TCE BC208 cab from Lewis, cab is fab and exactly as described. Top dude and a credit to our community. Cheers Lewis 🍻 Andy
  8. Looks like the Harley Benton Iso 12 pro will power the HX stomp -
  9. WOW! That is very cheap for a very cool bass made in Taiwan - one of the Attitude custom shops! Just for info and comparison folks, this bass will knock spots off any Mex or similar Pbass on the market! Good luck mate
  10. If guess around £20 would cover it for postage but let know 👍
  11. I sometimes think we talk ourselves into that position. Granted and taken into account experience, I cannot see passed all valve heads - more specifically SVT Classic. However, I did go the hybrid route with the SVT-3pro, still cannot see past all valve heads, then moved onto the BV1001T hybrid, still cannot get past all valve heads but, this head and the 3pro are excellent in their own right and for me the BV1001T exceeds all expectation given the measly price attached to it. I've now rehearsed and gigged it (BV1001T) and very happy with the tone and performance plus, saves my back an injury. The essence of this is, I guess, is that we need to give it a chance. Still though, cannot see past an Ampeg SVT classic!!
  12. Shops are mad huh! It’s a very nice bass but as you said, Czech or well used Korean? We all know 👍
  13. I'm certain this was on sale here for a while and I hope the seller got a lot more than the £399 he was looking for. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313986447339?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160811114145%26meid%3D005629385fc444cbbe114181f6de9f02%26pid%3D100667%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D185449655151%26itm%3D313986447339%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2334524%26brand%3DSpector&_trksid=p2334524.c100667.m2042
  14. Brill looking forward to it.
  15. It could be that modellers can't fully or faithfully recreate the entirety of the original sound? Just a guess but betcha in IP/Copyright law it is significant.
  16. I don't disagree with you at all and I do appreciate the time, development and costs factored in when designing new products. IP is extremely important and to see it violated is never good. Perhaps the loophole that enables this to happen needs tightened? 20 years for IP but when a product is discontinued, the IP freed up and is then released into the public domain - that is major loophole. The links you put up were a great read. 17. Ha ha yes! My comment was meat to be tongue in cheek.
  18. I think we all need to come to consensus on IP. IP is there to protect an individual's creativity and endeavours to ensure a quality product gets into the market place of which, we as bass players, reap the benefits of and we need to recognise this as necessary. However, Music Tribe, have found away round this by seemingly buying up discontinued product IP that has enabled them to shamelessly copy deleted products and related equipment now benefitting the bass player enormously and again, we need to recognise that this is good thing. So in essence, no crime has been committed, it is of great benefit to our community and perhaps, we could view the IP copy as tribute to the original manufacturer? It's all good folks.
  19. GB Streamliner 900 released 2011 discontinued 2013, Bugera Veyron released 2015. I guess 2 years isn't much but I think Music Tribe have a habit of buying discontinued IP.
