  1. Tech21 VT Deluxe for the win. VT goodness, 6 presets. Go nuts or MXR M80, dang that sweepable mid para knob is magic or Ampeg SCR DI, it's Ampeg, say no more or Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig yeah, I have all of these, plus more. I need help.....
  2. personally I'd rip off the existing hook off the board and lay loop down,as the original owner should've done.
  3. can't get better customer service than that
  4. THIS they are made to be treated rough experiment with your pickup height
  5. When I see someone with a hat, I know they are a musician, or very cool, or BOTH or.....hiding a bald patch hehe
  6. the pickup is in the wrong place hehe
  7. my 2013 Am Stnd P has the custom shop 62s and they sound damn good. But my 2013 MIM P bass also sounds pretty good imho, dunno what pups are in that
  8. the guy at the shop recommended the G30 over the more expensive G50 because "we've had a lot of returns of the G50, battery cover issues", ironically
  9. also kinda depends on whether you are in the UK or US. Personally, I'd run away, too many things to go wrong.
  10. I have Reaper, it is great, but it is NOT intuitive. You basically have to know what you want, and find that option by right clicking. Not straightforward for beginners Cant beat one on one tuition. Go thst route first. He will show you how to get started, and any specific things you want to do. Gotta be worth a thousand bucks to me

    Monitors

HS5s here and love them. If you can test a few brands next to each other do so, otherwise don't overthink it as whatever you choose, your ears get attuned to them
  12. Love my Elf, bought two of the Elf 10" cabs. gonna use both cabs at next gig, gonna be fun
  13. https://neotechstraps.com/wireless-pouch.html the small size fits the G30 transmitter perfectly PS I use Eneloop rechargeables and they last ages. But the Ikea brand Ladda are the exact same battery, out of the same factory, except hold 95% of the Eneloops, thats 2450mAh v 2550mAh and cost $2 each vs $8 for Eneloops.
  14. I think you are gonna have to be the one to try it and report back hehe
  15. Line6 G30 the two common problems are the flimsy battery cover and crappy clip. Both solved with the NeoTech pouch which is brilliant, elasticised sides apply pressure on the battery door and it easily velcros to any strap. When I bought a second transmitter, I broke the clip off deliberately so it fits the pouch better hehe
  16. you euros have been hit with high temps this summer, but geez, 35C is about it isn't it? I used to think 40C was hot, but this year we reached 47.7C ! time to find another planet coz this one is getting too hot ! When it gets too hot in Sweden, you know we're doomed
  17. we have had so many inner city live music pubs shut down coz they built hi rise apartments next to them and they complain. Our city council is run by imbeciles that think if you move into the city, everything around you must stop making noise. Even open air festivals have mostly by passed us coz they are hit with excessive noise fines and must end by 10pm. Pure malarky.
  18. I have a nice floor fan that keeps me cool. My current band's first 5 gigs were in over 35C temps and a couple with high humidity. Sweat was pouring off us. Drummer is 64, I'm 57, guitarists are 56 and 44, seems typical for this thread hehe. On the gigs where I took the fan I was cool as a cucumber. People were intrigued why my shirt bottom was flapping around lol
  19. do it right, take it to a shoe repairer/leather shop and have them glue/sew a piece of suede to the back
  20. budget would help. And use, like will you be jamming with others in the future, if not, 20-40w is more than enough it's all relative, some say you need 250w to play bar gigs, but in the 80s and 90s Peavey TNT115s were enough, 100w thru a variety of speakers.Drummers don't play any louder today than back then. Fender Rumble40 might be good for you

  22. bought a Chinese Hofner BB recently. Very handy as it's SO light, and being short, easy to play during long sets. I'm recoverring from trigger thumb and will need it for our next gig in 2 weeks
  23. there is one that has a 660mAh charge but I'm not sure where they are available
