  1. I wish I had a tree that grew bass bodies in my garden.
  2. 2 or 3 for me please, Bob.
  3. It looks like it would taste nice. Mmm, toffee apples...

    The voice of experience there!
  5. Just draw doodles over it in black marker, and clear Matt coat it. Maybe. Or probably not.
  6. I saw a program on the tellybox once where a cricket bat maker finished off the bats by rubbing them with a big old cow bone.
  7. I prefer the white. Looks a little classier/timeless.
  8. I think there’s a second pot out of view. I’ll know within a couple of weeks as he’s caved to my pestering 😁
  9. I found a photo of my mates 6 string...
  10. So cool! I still want one. Do us all a favour and put a price to them so we can start saving our pennies to get our orders in!?!?!!!
  11. Lovely colour/finish!
  12. Chrome knobs would sit nicely there. I’m trying to by a Danelectro 6 string from my mate (who swapped the standard knobs for chrome ones) and I think it looks well swish.
  13. Looking beautiful! This isn’t helping my newly discovered 6 string GAS!
  14. What wood is that?
  15. Cool! Any pictures of the process, or just more pictures of the finished bass?
  16. Not seen one with that colour/finish before - nice!
  17. Love that!
  18. Which model is that? I’ve only seen the P width neck on the JMJs, and the AP versions had the jazz pickup too.
  19. Deffo a complement - if you ever move it on, I would request first dibs please 😁
  20. That looks bloody brilliant! Reminds me of my mates £2k Gretsch 6 string! Really awesome transformation, we’ll done 👍🏻
  21. Sneaky far away shot to show the colours. Mmm, nice. It’s not quite as orange in real life. I love the subtle rounding of the usually sharp edges. Will do some close ups when I’ve got some satisfactory progress!
  22. Yeah, I should really ask for advice before doing things! I was so happy with the lovely roundedness of it that I jumped the gun. I will sand it down again and go to a higher grade before re-applying a thinned down coat. The scratchplate is on the back burner til the neck is done!
  23. I’m sure you’ve already explored this avenue, but have you experimented with different strings?
