  1. It’ll match the barncaster well! Keep the outside as unfinished as possible I reckons.
  2. I was expecting to see a mop of pink hair!
  3. In most pictures of me playing I look either upset or peeved! This one is good though:
  4. Got me a new loom in my JV P, and another for my as-yet-to-be-completed Frankenjag. Great stuff as always. That’s a Ki0gon loom in all four of my basses now - Thanks again John!
  5. I love their configurator!
  6. Do you remember that advert where a guy in India makes a Peugeot 207 out of his car by getting an elephant to sit on it? That may yet be me...
  7. Only kidding. This is from the ever-captivating Marooshcheck website. But this is what I’m aiming for. Sort of.
  8. Aaaaaaaand finished!
  9. I now have case storage envy.
  10. No harm in asking though!
  11. It’ll sound better after a bit of running in, too, no doubt. Was it this thread that prompted Barefaced’s “notablackfriday” sale?
  12. When my instrument’s neck isn’t failing catastrophically, I also dream that I’ve written the best song ever. Or the best bass line ever. In last night’s episode (before the neck coiled like a snake) I was going to play and sing “Lets Dance” for my work colleagues. I did a really good Bowie impersonation.
  13. Posted more for amusement than anything, but I’ve been having these frustrating dreams where the neck of what ever bass I’m playing folds at each fret (like it’s hinged) under the tension of the strings, so the neck curls toward the bridge as I’m playing. I have to bend it back out then to continue playing. What’s that all about?!
  14. I was going to post this. Unfortunately my recollection of events is equally vague sorry.
  15. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  16. That looks the business. Where does the wire go to not cause any damage to the bass?
  17. The matte finish is a lovely contrast to the shiny chrome!
  18. Me neither - cool!
  19. Crikey he’s got a good set of pipes!
  20. That looks really good! I’m also enjoying the “Changing Rooms” updates in the background!!
  21. Do a NCD post when it arrives, please!
  22. Pretty good figures there! I like the white 1x12. The 1x10 is tiny!
  23. And the wadding is there to cushion the sound, and also make it “warmer”.
  24. True, the spare sound drops to the bottom, but that’s why most lightweight cabs have ports there - to let all the heavy notes out. That’s why port size is so critical - if you let too much sound out, the cab simply floats away. At least, that’s my understanding of it all.
  25. Looks ace, but I’d address the fabric ripples. Maybe try removing the grill and putting a hot hair dryer to it? Failing that pull the staples out and start again. Sorry for the negativity- it really is an ace looking cab!
