  1. Mine definitely had a 1969 stamp in the neck pocket. I don’t think anyone was bothering to counterfeit Kay bases in1994!
  2. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F333209821302 Mine was a Kay from 1969. That listing brought back memories, mostly of how heavy the body was, and how bad the neck was made - looked like 50 packs of matches glued together!!
  3. A flippin’ lovely one that is not helping my GAS! Wilcock. Made in that there London Town.
  4. Or defret it then use a router to remove the fretboard (like you skimmed the body for the top wood).
  5. £22k. Wow. Shipping is included though.
  6. I’ve never been a fan of the Warwick shape, but your work here has changed my mind - that is looking niiiice!!!
  7. This is going to end up close to what I was planning -looking forward to it!
  8. I too have a balancing act with kids etc (not quite as many as you!), but I regret selling certain things, thinking “I won’t have time”, but then I get a month of being able to do music stuff for some reason or another, so I’m a little more cautious about getting rid of stuff these days.
  9. I’ve seen some great amp sleeves, but after going lightweight on cabs I can’t see me going the traditional route again.
  10. There has been one in the classifieds here for ages. £175 and hardly used. The marketplace here is ace.
  11. Even if you ditched the speakers and just used the head it’s worth it for someone! Damn I wish I was closer. You coming past Swansea any time soon?!
  12. I have a kidney sale lined up. Just let me know when you’re ready...
  13. Yeah, keep the red subtle. Red silks is a good shout.
  14. I played this (Jabba’s) at the SW Bash - I love it! Would love to own one. Jez. No pressure!
  15. Ooh, imagine if you could get a black/red/black scratch plate!
  16. Are you going to use red as an accent colour too? If so, where?
  17. Well, you’ll need a Y.O.B. jazz to match. Then just knock out three or four counterfeits a year for a living!
  18. Looks nice as-is! Maybe pop a machine head off - if the colour is the same underneath it’s a tint, if it looks like tan lines it could be original?
