  1. I would personally leave it as it is. But I sprayed mine with red wine red and white pearl scratch plate.
  2. Was that a 4 or 6 string bass?
  3. Here is my entry, Instrumental song recorded this morning, bass recorded this evening, mixed and mastered this evening. Guitars Jackson dinky guitar plugged through various boss pedals into Marshall, SM57 off the centre of the speaker into Focusrite. Bass recorded through Amplitube4, too late to play the amp in the evening. Drums, courtesy of Ezdrums, keys - syntronik software.
  4. I can't even speak with an English one?
  5. I was told off then verbally attacked by users for asking advice on a built project. Very bizarre.
  6. Talk what? How dare you?! Welcome
  7. To be fair , I couldn't probably even tell you blond folded if I played my Squier p bass as it came originally or the minor upgrades. As long as the strings and neck feels right, the style of your playing will produce that sweet sound.
  8. My most comfortable bass to play is a second hand Squier p bass, added a fender high mass bridge , SPB 1 pick up, flat strings and done.
  9. Plenty of wood in the alleyway I'm clearing out too. For free
  10. Agreed. To me it looks like an excuse. If you watch closely, he went for Tom's instead of continuing hitting the crash.
  11. My parents would have various AM stations on. My dad would also listen to Radio Free Europe, forbidden station during Cold War. He had a collection of Elvis Presley, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Buddy Holly and various 50s and 60s rock and roll played on a reel to reel valve player. We used to listen the usual rock/pop hits in very early 80s when I quickly got influenced by metal, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Scorpions, Anthrax, Annihilator, AC/DC, Kreator, Sepultura and likes.
  12. Not just eBay, Shpock, Gumtree similar. Can you deliver? Is one of the questions.. Over the weekend I sold two Squier guitars on Gumtree I wanted to sell them for a couple of years now to finance a project guitar, but was in no rush selling them, the ads had pictures of every dent, scratch and this was also mentioned in the description. When one seller turned up yesterday, I pointed these out minor tear and wear. I also provided a new set of strings, still in original unsealed packaging, also in the description. He wasn't aware. Obviously he didn't read the add but it seems that he looked at the main photo only. He said, does it come with an amp? I said you can have an amp but that will be extra so and so. Anyway, I felt generous and felt bit sorry for the youngster so reduced the price at door step. Saturday, sold the other Squier, i put it on hold for someone for a week, they collected it but the questions were never ending. I also gave them a discount at the door step. Both were happy. I think one with locking tuners I put on and new strings they got a bargain. Not music related, but I put a perfectly working washing machine on Gumtree on Friday for sale, very cheap. It sat in the utility room unused for a year, we thought we use it as a back up...don't know why..never did.within 2 hours it was collected. I gave it out for free even helped loading it in a car. It was my intention to just give it away, and the buyer was shocked as he desperately needed a washing machine. I didn't want to advertise for free knowing it would end up in scrap.
  13. 100% agreed. On other website buyers mainly hassle to underpay so they can sell on.
  14. Hit parade, haven't heard that term since 80s when we used to listen to radio and record songs on a cassette.
  15. If you change the strings , is that still original?
  16. In 2000, when I worked as a waiter, I served Gary Moore lunch at a seaside restaurant. I asked him if he was gigging in the area, and he simply answered, no just visiting family. Still have his autograph somewhere.
  17. @WolframFirst entry, first win, well done. Don't forget to send an inspirational photo for this month's challenge.

  20. This, this is very important if you miss out on conversation
  21. I'm not quite as bad but rely on semifocals, and always struggled with Ishihara test
  22. Thanks chaps nothing wrong with Ziggy Stardust. And don't you start with black white TV. I use reference songs and even have master match software unfortunately it's not be all end all. Luckily my missus is a hearing aid professional so getting it sorted won't be an issue, but the I will not have excuse not to hear what she says 😃 suppose every cloud....
