  1. Easiest song to learn by ear to cover, you just turn up for the gig, plug in and off you go
  2. My entry for this month. Song title Human T`Error inspired by Terminator movies
  3. John sold.me a pedalboard,great Comms and super fast delivery.thanks
  4. Good to know as one of my Fender cable is crackling. They build them so you cannot dismantle the jack, what a shame.
  5. I have never practiced per se. What I mean scales, arpeggios etc. and have no intention, boring and tedious! I play/ learn by ear. For what I do, having fun, suits me, record music for myself , no longer gig. Think I do ok.

For what I do, does the job. The mixing quality also depends on your hearing and how you perceive what you hear , it will reflect the final outcome. I thought Ozone does a good job for mastering. I think it's used by some BC. I rely on my hearing

I personally think it sucks life out of fun. When I record my own song , I'd like it to sound certain way depends what mood I am in. I don't think it will match human's emotions and art of mixing.I sometimes use master match, but it is still not close enough.
  8. Live After Death vinyl, first press..arrived today. I had a bit of a misfortune last week. I bought a first press Live After Death LP in a good condition, unfortunately Royal Mail postie decided to lob it over the fence that resulted both LPs ( those who don't know it's a double live LP) being damaged. Luckily I managed to get my hands on another first press LP in excellent condition, a bit pricey, but worth every penny.
  9. Has anyone noticed any improvements in Amplitube 5? I still haven't upgraded to 5 from 4 as I'm concerned loosing presets.
  10. Song title ; `Born to Bleed'- lyrics don`t make sense as usual. Trash metal song this time. Guitars, bass, vocals recorded in Ableton Live, Amplitude for guitars, bass, choir is a plug in. Drums , curtesy of Ez Drums etc etc.
  11. Picked up a bass at 16, played in bands, gigged, recorded a pro demo at 17, then on/off in various bands. At 26 gave it a last chance then that was it until 10 plus years later. I have more gear now when I played in bands. All in all, born in the wrong place at the wrong time did not help.
  12. Funny thing this GAS business. There was an amp for sale on BC this week, I'm glad I was told it's on hold as the following day realised I didn't needed it but wanted it. It's now gone, I think, but still looking for something else, I don't know why....
  13. I went to see Maiden at O2 with my young child (single digit age). I booked tickets on release day and had a nice seat facing the stage right by the exit for an easy access/escape with my child, just in case. When Maiden started, the bloke who was also with his kids stood up and blocked my view. I didn't hesitate and politely asked him to either move slightly to left or sit down explaining he was blockin my view. He didn't like my request but he did move. I understand it's a facking metal gig, but have some respect for others. Then the phones, constantly in the air. Last year I went to see Anthrax at Brixton Academy and Joey encouraged people on balcony to stand up , everyone did , organisers did not like it ..no standing signs.. People are the reason I no longer go to cinema. Back to the topic, surely they can't control the phone use, some.might need phones for family emergency etc. But having it in air constantly... I agree, ban it.
  14. Would be Live After Death until the tape stretches.
  15. I have three, two came with a bass. But I can't tell the difference between the classic p bass or high mass bridge when playing.I play strings not the bridge. It's like comparing a tone on a vintage Olympic white Vs lacquer finished mustard colour bass.
  16. Isn't Birmingham famous where famous musicians came from? Black Sabbath for example. And the list goes on..
  17. I have left the wires just hanging with ends taped with electrical tape. That explains the high pitch 1/2 second sound when I switch on the amp. Will remove the wires. Thanks for heads up.
  18. Interesting old thread. I've tried two sets of Steve Harris signature flats, and they are like suspension bridge cables. They sound nice when new, bright to my likings but at a steep price. I've tried Fender flats which have been great. Now purchased rotos flats not as thick a gauge like SH signature, so will give them a go. But Dunlop flats sound worth a try too.
  19. I've got the 100w version of this Rumble for home playing 😁 and I wonder what damage this can produce. Would be my to go combo if I started gigging.
  20. I bought one of these last year here on BC HOTONE THUNDER BASS 5W MINI AMP. It has bass, MIDs, Highs, gain and volume, input to connect phone to play along, and headphones jack. I assembled a 2x12 cabinet, 125 watt each speaker connected and it's more than enough at home playing. I reckon it would even be adequate for a band practice.
  21. @How1 your post inspired me, I placed a new add looking for musicians to play with. I'll give it another go.
  22. Unfortunately it wouldn't work for me, I grew up on metal and although I don't mind listening to other music genre when they are being played by others than me, I couldn't play e.g. pop. I even turned down a band playing originals based on early Sabath days. Also, being up late is not my cup of tea anymore.
