1. Happened to me last night. Ive been playing with an acoustic guitar player who also sings. We played through our usual numbers I noticed I played a wrong note over her guitar strum. I asked if it sounded wrong and she said no..... later I looked it up and replayed the tune and I was right or is that wrong
2.
Buy with confidence... bought a Maruszcyk Jake from 'Spyder' and it was exactly as described.
Thanks for the kind words.
3. Weight is 8 and one half pounds on the bathroom scales. Colour is Fiesta Red.
4.
This is a bargain and a half.
This is indeed a bargain. I have the opportunity to buy a high end Maruszczyk at a good price. Im only £550 short so the Elwood is up for sale at that 'needed' price. If the other bass is sold then I will gladly keep the Elwood as it is the best jazz style instrument that I have ever played. That is saying something as I've had high end Sandbergs and Shukers. The Elwood is simply a better instrument..... ( cost does not come into this statement ) .... It just begs to be played. This Elwood is my third Maruszczyk and the best yet. I really wish I could have two basses, but the Elwood has to go for the new bass to come in. If anyone is interested PLEASE make yourself known with a PM as I will have to remove this ad or refuse to sell if the other bass goes.

6. Due to a high end Maruszczyk bass coming available for sale Im putting up my Elwood active 4 string up for a quick sale. A very quick sale is wanted so the price is crazy low £550 collected. Cost me 1400 euro ( £1050 ) In perfect condition. I will not post out..... you can collect or arrange courier. Collection from my work in Reading or home in Sandhurst. I will withdraw the bass if the one I want sells. 38mm Fender Jazz size nut Matching nitro paint headstock Jazz profile neck Glockenklang active 2 band electronics Haussel single coil vintage jazz pickups in rosewood cases. 7.
Something is telling me to try flats on this, I've never really used them before, anyone have any recommendations for a flats newbie?
I use Chrome flats on my Elwood. They are brighter than most flats so you retain a little more edge to still cut through a band mix.
8. Another beautiful Maruszczyk bass.
9.
Almost certainly it's by design. The Tone Hammer 500 is the same
My tone hammer did the same. Its a great idea if you want a clean sound and or have a hot output bass.
10. Took a few nice pic's of my Elwood. Hope you enjoy. Sorry.... I cant flip them ?
11. Thanks that link really helps. I once had a heartrock and found it had a wonderful sound. If the soul 2 has that same sound it is a real winner.
12. Unfortunately I'm the other end of the country. If you ever pass you are welcome to try my Elwood 4a.
13. What was involved with the upgrade. Thanks.
14. Great review. Many thanks.
15. Oh Crap.... you are just down the road. I feel GAS.
16. These look very interesting. Has anyone else had experience of this brand. Pricing looks very good as well. http://fmc-audio.jimdo.com/startseite/english/
17. Fantastic collection of new Maruszczyk basses. I really need a second one now.... too much GAS.
18. Around ten years ago I had a custom bass made by Sandberg for around the same price of a Maruszczyk today. Sandberg then expanded and their prices are now over double for the same custom bass. I'm hoping Adrian does not get to popular and goes the same way as so many small bass companies. They expand, move to bigger factories, employ more people and prices go through the roof. Keep it real Adrian and you will have a loyal fan bass.
