1. Swap the scratchplate and keep the one with the sticker on for future sales.
 2.
Maybe it's just me but do the normal folk out there not appreciate good basslines? I've watched most of Glastonbury this weekend as our drummer is ill and gigs have been cancelled. I have been pretty uninspired by the bass players in the bands that are known as bands but have seen some great bass playing with the solo artists. For example I think Coldplay, Biffy, U2, elbow et all were very average but I loved the playing behind Jessie J, Tinnie Tempa (hate his music and found the bbc coverage frustrating as every other sentence was muted due to swearing), Paulo Nutini, Plan B etc. The exception was Mumford & Sons as I really enjoyed his bass playing. It might just be me tho
I really enjoyed the Tinie Tempah bassist, just a ptiy they didn't show more of his playing. Jessie J's bassist was good too I thought, as was she.

 5.
If i could change bass every song, i would! #clayton
I'm sure I saw the Edge use the same guitar over two songs, his techie is for the axe tomorrow.
 6. My 3 piece acoustic band is booked to play there on 14th July. Has anyone on here played there yet and if so what should we expect. The gig is on a Thursday night.
 7. Here's ours for now. We're a 3 piece amplified acoustic band and have done 4 gigs together so far. The set list is still evolving as to what works and what doesn't. We must have chucked away as many songs as we've learnt so far. 8. Here's a few pics of one of my amps. I guess people will get this one fairly quickly.
 9. Does this qualify
 10.
+1
Talking Heads were my favourite band of the 70's and 80's, I'm pretty sure it was Tina Weymouth that got me into playing Bass.
 11. Just bought a cheap Jazz Bass from Lloydy. Good comms and speedy delivery. Perfect.
 12.
Thinking of getting one but never played one ,just wondering if anyone has and what your thoughts are? cheers
Haven't played one but I've been waiting for them to bring out a 5 string version which I was told was happening. There have been some good reviews on them so far.
 13.
One of the best things for acoustic guitar live is to buy a feedback stopper plug. They cost about a tenner but deal with feedback problems nicely, especially if it's a fairly loud gig
Unfortunately the hole in my Acoustic is oval shaped which is why I ended up making one with cardboard. It did the job. I've got an Ibanez EWB205 on order so I'll probably get a f/b buster for that if I need it. Hoping not to though as the pre amp has an anti-feedback frequency selector on it.
 14. Played my second gig last night with my Acoustic band. First time I gigged it was feedback hell, last night I put some cardboard and gaffa tape over the sound hole and it was perfect, more than loud enough with no feedback. Played it through my Shuttle 6 head and Eden 2x10". Can't wait for the next gig now
 15. I'd have this if I lived closer. Had a look at shipping, cheapest I could see was £31.80 ex vat................. Have a bump.
 16. Love The Waterboys, great band. We do Fishermans Blues with my acoustic band.
 17.
MB1. They usually appear on here for around 45 quid!. Zoom dont supply the mains adaptor as standard though! so not a bad buy! they are great for personal practice and unlike many other Multieffects these are a doddle to program!.
I used to have one of these and it came with the power supply, same as my Zoom B9. I also used to have a Zoom acoustic effects pedal which also came with a power supply so not sure where "Zoom don't supply the mains adaptor as standard" comes from. The B2 is a great little piece of kit and as you say it's got the drum machine (something it's big brother the Zoom 9 hasn't) which is great for practising along to.
 18.
There was a drummer I used to play with who I would have to watch and wait to see when he hit his snare as he came out of (hopelessly out of time) fills so that we didn't go out of synch when we came back into the song. Another who was so busy hitting his cymbals on weird off beats that he forgot that he was a part of the rhythm section and expected to keep the beat. A good drummer can make or break a band and having to put up with a bad one can make an otherwise good band (and the bass player) sound like amateurs.
That sounds just like the drummer of my band I described above
 19. I've got a problem with the drummer in one of my bands that he comes back in too quickly after fills with me sometimes having to miss a whole note to get back in time. He also tends to hit the cymbals at the wrong time which used to throw me out. I used to think it was me but I've never had that problem with a drummer before and don't have in a new Acoustic band I joined. The drummer and myself locked in straight away. I'm used to the other drummer now and musically we're quite tight. I guess it takes just getting to know each other.

 21.
I've got an SR1000 as well! Bought it as a rock bass way back in 1990 & has been my main bass ever since. My current band is a 3-5 piece that do a mix of blues, folk, funk, jazz & anything else that doesn't fit & I also play bass occasionally at church (if I'm not on guitar duty). I've since stripped it down to the wood & oiled it & took it away from the "Rock" image. Here's a before... & here's the after... Still needs a waxing & a better pic than a phone one. Link to the process. Sound wise, I can get anything from mid focused sounds that cut thru to deep dubby bassy sounds (I've put flatwounds on to get more synth like tones). Unfortunately I've no idea how the newer ones are with the soapbar p/ups but if they're 1/2 as flexible as this, then you wont be disappointed.
Wow, that after looks the dogs.
 22.
and UP!
I've got a shuttle 6 if you're interested. I quite fancy a TC head to go with my TC 4x10 cab.
 23.
Used to sing and play it, some of the little 8 note runs in and out of the Chorus need concentration, but as has been said, it will avail you nought if the piano isn`t nailed down. Once you crack it, you`ll love playing it coz it swings. MM
You used to sing it and play it I've been listening to it a bit more, I reckon I could crack it in an hour. We don't have a piano, it's for my 3 piece Acoustic Band, singer/guitarist, drummer and myself.
