1. Hipshot ultralight are like that too but also expensive.
2. Have you got the Trace Elliot Boxer 30 on your list? It's a great little practice amp with a good range of tones and would be worth a look in my opinion. I use mine all the time.
3. It's a breadboard with a neck. I don't get it, maybe it's seen some yummy sandwiches in its time.
4. We use a promoter and let her do the work. She gets paid £20 for anything up to £200 and 10% for anything over £200. We've got 32 gigs booked so far for the year, no doubt we'll end up doing over double that.
5. Nope, I think great, they're having a good time which in turn makes our night better.
6. Does anyone believe this ? 7. Depends what you're buying, I find that generally it is. Every time I've bought from the US it's worked out cheaper even after all the UK taxes.
8.
My ageing laptop also can't cope with the larger animated avatars. When there's a page with a couple of different ones the browser totally locks up. I know on other forums I go on there's an option to hide avatars. Can this be done here? Of course the simplest option would to just limit the file size...
Or get a new laptop
9.
Hello. I am new to this forum as you can obviously see, and I won't deny my main reason was to offer this piece of equipment for sale to a knowledgeable audience! So, I am selling my beloved bass cabinet, as I'm no longer playing live bass. I bought it new about 7 years ago in Germany, and used it for gigging until about 3 years ago, so it has a few minor scratches on the black coating (see photo), but still in great condition, working flawlessly and sounding great! I'm hoping for around £500 for it. I live in Sheffield, and would prefer if we can arrange some kind of pick-up, or I can meet people half-way for some fuel money. I'm happy to let anyone come and try it out. PM me if interested, I'll happily answer any questions anyone has.
You do know that now that you've joined there's no escaping
10. Does anyone have You're The Best Thing by The Style Council tabbed out, I need to learn it for tomorrow night and time is scarce.
11. Thanks Si
12. Thanks Si, I'm hoping to have a pic of it tomorrow. Any idea of its worth. It has a Fender hard case as well.
13. I got the date okay, it's the model I'm looking for ie Standard etc.
14. Is it possible to tell the model of a Fender Bass from the serial number? My boss' son has a USA Jazz Bass that he wants to sell but doesn't know what it's worth. I'm waiting to find out if he knows what model it is but the serial number is Z2230218 which I think makes it a USA made 2002. I'll hopefully have a pic tomorrow to shed more light on it.
15. The Clarus gives out what you put into it without any discolouration. the better the quality going in, the better the sound coming out. It can handle electric bass but if you want a bit of grind you'll need to use pedals.
16. I have one and use it through an Eden 2x10" cab with my acoustic bass. it's extremely light, powerful and goes to 2ohms if required. Sounds the dogz.
17. I'm just wondering if it's another "S" serial fake.
18. Bump for Xmas delivery.
19. I'm a realist and I stay away from the Double Bass
20. Selling my Ibanez EWB205 as I no longer have a need for it. Excellent Acoustic Bass with a lovely warm sound when plugged in. It's around 4 months old and in excellent condition. Comes with Ibanez gig bag and case candy (Allen Key, Spare Bridge, Bridge Pins etc.) Looking for £295 Official Blurb Ibanez EWB205 WNE With the Ibanez Shape Shifter preamp, you spend less time tweaking controls and more time playing. The 3-band tone control features a tone shaper that's much like the volume contour on your stereo. However, instead of just an on-and-off switch, the tone shaper features an actual loudness contour control so you can precisely determine the level of the contour and get the right sound. The SST, designed to complement the Fishman® Sonicore pickup, offers quiet operation and features a phase reverse switch for reducing feedback. A separate battery compartment allows for easy battery changes. EWB205WNE Features:

Ibanez Original EWB Body
Fishman® Sonicore Pickup
Ibanez SST Preamp
Mahogany Neck
Rosewood Bridge & Fretboard
Balanced XLR & 1/4" Outputs
34" scale

21. Greetings from Swindon. I also grew up in Southern Africa (Rhodesia/Zimbabwe 10years and South Africa 10years). My son is currently studying to be a Sound Engineer at The Johannesburg Academy of Music and then he hopes to come over here. Anyway if you ever gig or come to one of our gigs let me know.
22. Ordinarily I would be playing my Shuker Jazz in this band but it doesn't suit the image hence the need for an Acoustic Bass. I would never attempt to gig it on its own, it will always be amplified.
