  1. Not sure if / why or where to post this:
  2. Whilst very rarely used, I do have a (cheap) variable temp soldering iron. I do not, however, know how to decide on what temp to use. I usually turn it up enough to make the solder melt as quickly as possible. I actually now mostly use an IRODA SolderPro 120K portable
  3. Is she now a lefty or is the screen mirrored? She was not a lefty before. I used to follow her but stopped some time ago so no up to speed. She was defo a righty at the LBGS show a few years go.
  4. Mark, welcome. I am sure someone will come along from here with tutor suggestions, but you should also look at firsttutors.com and also musicteachersdirectory.org.
  5. I am not sure about that, although my bass playing can sometimes be described as robotic. 😀 Does that count?

    Hi!

Welcome Foureyes. If you stay here long enough it is possible you will be changing your name to Fiveeyes / Sixeyes or even Fretleyes.
  7. I have been following this band for a while now. Really tight.
  8. It looks like a fairly drastic solution to stop neck dive to me.
  9. I have never used either, but a singer friend of mine and her band rehearse remotely and she swears by Jamulus
  10. Girlfriend in anchovy / Girlfriend in pompano? Eel around the Fountain?
  11. Almost the same here; in my case it is hearing bands on the radio playing songs I can play along to at home!
  12. Congrats! I have the USB version - a true upgrade from my gen 3 Scarlett. As you say a great piece of kit with plenty of headroom too in the gain. Love the control software too. The separate phantom power per channel was also important to me.
  13. I have the HP and am also very happy with it. Sadly timing wise means I have yet to use it outside of my study! It goes quite loud though.
  14. Alex has responded to this on an American forum. They are not doing a Black Friday sale this year as they only realised how thin their margins are after the one last year apparently
  15. I like this, very nicely done. 👏
  16. "I could watch you play a bass all day". Ah! Sorry wrong type of bass.
  17. Me on stage being watched by Ron Carter, Robert Trujillo and Anthony Jackson. They each paid for their own tickets!
  18. Not sure I can help with the sound issue, but I would love to see the stool used to play the tall keys in the far right corner of the first pic.
  19. I like this and boy does it make my fingers feel slow at times!
  20. If you can get to play one before buying I would strongly suggest that. I had a USA Stingray HH V and it was one of the quickest "move on"s I have done to date. I never could get a tone that suited me out of it but also the G string was so close to the edge of the fret board it was very tough to play without it rolling off the edge (perhaps poor technique on my part too). I cannot remember what age it was, however.
  21. For build quality but perhaps a little reserved in tone; my now sold Glockenklang Blue Rock was unbelievably good. For a more lively sound that more suits where I am now, my current Bergantino Forte HP.
