  1. Not sure you would count it as rock but pretty much anything by Tool where Justin Chancellor had the idea.
  2. It is important we settle this soonest. I try to avoid anything common. 😀
  3. To be honest, I am not a fan either
  4. My Glockenklang Blue Rock maintained its sound without change in tone, welly, thump etc, all the way up. I would not rule out all class D using a generalisation.
  5. Davie504 had had over 1 billion views on YT. Let’s say an income of $2,000 per million views and I would say his skills are pretty pointfull rather than pointless. Of course YMMV.
  6. It is a V2 Alder body and is the heaviest bass I have ever owned. I did just weight it before posting, so pretty sure the 4.9kgs is correct. To the point I was getting close to thinking of moving it on. It is beautifully built and plays well, unbelievably so for £450, however. I almost have to stop the Dingwall floating away in comparison.
  7. Holy dead thread resurrection Batman! I recently took onboard a Sire V7 Five, which I love, BUT.. It weights more than the Titanic (somewhere between 4.9kgs and 1billion metric tonnes). Having been a user of Comfort straps for years, which I love, I thought one of those will help. It did not, but due to my size. The buckle (even with the short end up front) rested on my collar bone. Ouch to the point I could only play the Sire for any length of time whilst sitting down. I then tried a Neotech Bass Strap, a similar problem. Note all straps were the super duper extra longs, the main issue being the neoprene part is too short. Finally after much tooing and froing with the US and customs, my GruvGear SoloStrap Neo 4" arrived this morning. Absolutely fantastic! Per funkyjimbob, I could only get this from the US and paid $104.74 ($67.99 plus $36.75 shipping) plus £21.38 customs (incl Royal Mail £8 handling charge) which is far too much money but appears to have solved the problem. The neoprene bit comes right down to the front of the bass and, for this man, 4" is perfect. For those of you with a heavy bass and with spare cash to flush, this is a recommended route.
  8. I love the looks of this bass and keep coming back to look at it. An MTD 535 is on my bucket list. Sadly with a new Forte HP just arrived, I am out of this one.
  9. In the context of balance: "We're England We're gonna score one more than you England!" A pretty bold statement considering the results over the last few years. Strangely, or perhaps not, I cannot find a Welsh national football team song.
  10. This one sold on here without issue. I see no reason to think this one now is no less a ying yang:
  11. "I'm a Lumberjack and I'm Ok" Are you, are you really? Especially during this pandemic.
  12. Thank you and all done. Soonest BigRedX gave me the tip above, I just typed in Royal Mail tracking, put in the US tracking code from my order eMail and the site took me right through to paying and setting the delivery time.
  13. I have not ordered from the US for many years. If it was not for the tip above I would still be at a loss as to what to do. I paid $5 extra for immediate post not thinking of the delays once it left GruvGear. The strap spent a week at LAX, a week at Dallas Airport and a week at Royal Mail somewhere. At no time did GruvGear or USPS let me know how the process worked. To cap it all the card arrived 30 minutes ago explaining there was duty to be paid but with a big sticker over the what to do next box!
  14. Thank you @BigRedX! All done and apparently being delivered on 4th. Great tip I had no idea about. @miles'tone, you may right but now at least it should be on the move.
  15. I do mean USPS. Thanks and will try that route.
  16. UPS in the States but no idea here. The UPS site is US based and will no allow me to raise the question from the UK.
  17. Due to no stock in the UK I ordered an USD 90 tem from Gruvgear in the USA. Other than taking three weeks to get to the UK, no problems from the US side. According to the UPS USA based tracking site, the item is now stuck in UK customs with duty to pay. UPS site says “contacting the addressee to pay duty” but that is all. Because the site is US based it will not let me raise a querie from the UK. What is the usual way of sorting this? I have heard from no-one and Gruvgear are just saying I have to pay the duty to get it released. I have no problem with that but do not know how to do that. Any ideas?
  18. Before moving onto the Peterson Strobestomp and Stroboclip HD, I too went from Poly to Unitune. Having said that the Stroboclip also sometime calls a B and E. No problems with the Polytune or Strobostomp, however. I think the clips really need to have their placement right to avoid that B/E issue.
  19. To be fair, I am sure Fred Astaire sang “Hebburn, I’m in Hebburn” which was followed up by “I’m singing in the rain...” 😀
  20. Do you mean the M62? I was thinking of the AC/DC album. 😀
  21. Highway to Hell? Rather than accuse this of being a lie, I will graciously assume a minor spelling mistake and believe you are fact referring to the M62
  22. Cause I’ve got a brand new combine harvester and I’ll give you the key... Well Mr Wurzel that was back in 1976 and I am still waiting. Was this in fact a lie? Is the harvester still serviceable? Hmm, I doubt it.
  23. This was also done a few years ago but agreed. I am chortling to myself nonstop through this whole thread.
  24. The King of Wishful Thinking huh? So when and where was the coronation then? Who proclaimed this? Sounds not quite right to me!
