  1. There is a module called Air, but not one called Air Reverb.
  2. Very nice. Joni and Jaco on fretless , two of my favourite things. Does anyone know who this guy is?
  3. That is one beautiful bass. Ooh baby baby.
  4. There’s a guy on YouTube who might be Brazilian, speaks Portuguese, who is very solid and has tab with his versions. search “aula de baixo” and he should come up.
  5. Absolutely wonderful, and still thrills me over forty five years later. What a tune!
  6. These are great combos. I love mine. Loud and compact. GLWTS.
  7. I sometimes combine a B3n with a Boss RC300. This is a highly functional if bulky solution. I’m even considering adding another B3n to this rig!
  8. Yamaha MSP5 here. Very good speakers, especially combined with a sub. Very detailed sound.
  9. Mono M80, lots of pockets. Also the Gear4Music foam case recommended above.
  10. Dagnabbit! I didn’t know that was on here. I would’ve had that away lightly on its toes.
  11. Well, Mick has a known SGC Nanyo habit. Vicarious gratification of same, I’m guessing.
  12. A fellow Scot here, with a Sterling Sub Ray 4 in my arsenal. (No cheap shots, please, about tight Scotsmen, or I will hunt you down like a dog.) Like the OP, I wanted to test the MM waters, but I find the wide nut on EBMM basses to be too wide for my delicate little paws, being a Jazz Bass player by temperament. The Sub Ray 4 I nabbed may be cheap, but it really packs a punch, and sounds close enough to the real thing to me to be well worth considering, to get a sense of these things, which are very different to the Jazz. I got mine for 200 quid, and there are plenty around, so give one a whirl, I say. I will now duck into my previously prepared bunker, so as to avoid the inevitable incoming from those rightfully enraged by my maundering.. Carry on.
  13. God, Sam Li! I think he was in Great Portland Street, back in the late seventies and early eighties. He refretted a Les Paul Custom for me, left the wee nibs on and everything. Brilliant.
  14. I was gassing bad for that one! I managed to restrain myself, but I wish I had given to the urge. Enjoy!
  15. Aargh, I love that! Why, oh why, don’t they make them with a 38mm nut?
  16. Very nice. Can you give some details about weight, nut width and string spacing, and pickups? Thank you.
