  1. Just saw this. Count me in. I was given a Kala bamboo U-bass. I was very surprised how good it sounds.
  2. I will have that, my good man. PM’ed.
  3. Looks like the battery clip is missing in your pic. Red and black wires should connect to missing battery clip, I think, via the wee green connector block.
  4. Got one. Great wee cab. Buy with confidence, folks.
  5. I've got two BBG's currently, on four and one five string. I had a BB100, my first decent bass. Plus a BBG4 I gave to a family member in a moment of generosity. They are all very good. The BBG's are old and no longer made, and deeply unfashionable, but anyone I play with comments on how good they sound. I see new colourful EBMM basses and I think "so what?". I love every Yamaha product I have owned and used.
  6. Bridge the fx loop with a short cable. Sometimes corrosion in the jack sockets cause semi shorts.
  7. Yamaha BBG4 is 40mm.
  8. I had the Version 1. It was okay I suppose. You could buy an EPROM online for a few quid, that updated it to the V2. That was fun to do.
  9. I can include a John East J-Tone 01 preamp with is bass, if that piques anyone’s interest. The preamp is only partly functional, since I managed to snap off the brass stem of the treble control. Since I only used the J-Tone to boost the bass, this was not a problem for me. To be able to use the bridge pickup with a good degree of bass boost was a revelation. If you’re interested, let me know. No increase in price for the inclusion of the preamp.
  10. Kinda reminds me of the Digitech iStomp. Which I have and like.
  11. I used to have one of these. Fabulous quality piece of kit, absolute bargain at a hundred smackers.
  12. Toneriders in my Jazz here. Coupled with a John East J-Retro they are great to my old ears.
  13. This is a fine, almost mint example of one of these basses. I believe there are not many of these about. I succumbed to the temptation a couple of years ago, but I have no real use for this lovely thing. I can only find one tiny ding, on the rear lower bout. Otherwise perfect. And shiny shiny gold, with a nice dark fingerboard, and matching headstock. It plays very nicely, with all the fretless jazz sounds one might expect. Plus, it looks amazing. Yes, I am shallow. So bite me. My travel scales say it weighs 4kg bang on, so quite light I think. Nut width is 38.6mm, last fret is 64.4mm. This is not a fretless conversion: it started life as a fretless in the factory. Side dots are on the fret positions. It comes with a decent Bass Collection padded bag, with shoulder straps etc. £350 to you, guvnor. I will post very reluctantly, at additional cost, or I will meet within a reasonable distance. Or you can collect. I'm sure I must have forgotten something, so ask me if you want more info.
  14. Gosh, I want that but I really don't need it. GLWTS.
