Great, thanks. That’s what I thought - I remember seeing a carbon Basslab bass which had a foam core, iirc.

I asked this question of Enfield/Sims basses but they didn’t bother to respond: Does wrapping a wooden core in carbon have the same benefit of a full composite neck? Will it move/need a truss rod? As far as I know some carbon necks have a different material in the core.

Hi guys We've dealt with this character before. He always uses 'Gear' at the beginning of his username and joins from a Nigerian based IP (we've now banned access from all Nigerian IPs) but now he's found out how to use a VPN it seems. I'm going to add a warning about scammers in the wanted forum as it seems this is always how he contacts people. Similar problems over on a watch forum I use - basically nobody covers a watch above £1000 - the only way around it is to have a business to business 'ParcelPro' account. Personally, when shifting gear, I prefer to meet halfway or pick up item if I can. Good excuse for a weekend away. Whilst I've not had any really bad experiences with couriers they normally call when I'm out walking Sybil or when I'm firmly glued to the lavatory

I can’t compare it to another fretless but it does sound excellent. I guess it was a bit of an experimental stage, and no doubt it had an influence on the later Delta Metal fingerboard fretless basses.

I have a series 1 which has a wooden neck with a brass laminate under the fretboard - really cool idea, mega idiosyncratic - and it has a truss rod, which I haven't had to touch. It's my fretless bass too so the action is super important, but no worries with it at all...

Difficult/impossible to have that on this software, and this way the companies can easily update and reply to threads, too. It has to be as easy as possible for them, and the from format works well from both a software and user POV.

Great, but you need to check you like the amount of relief because obviously you can’t change it. My series II basses are almost exactly flat which I love. The series Iii and IV have a tad more but it’s still only about a credit card thickness. It’s rare to see one where the neck has moved even a fraction in its lifetime.

Hi folks You may have noticed a new forum in the marketplace called 'commercial items for sale' Currently it's just a bit of a test, but ideally I'd like it to be an area for used bass shops, luthiers and small scale companies to list items they have for sale, so you can look through all the stock directly on BC. We'll see how it goes, and I'll be adding some companies as we go - I will over the next few weeks be talking to small shops and dealers to sign a few more up. Ideally I'd like items posted there to be automatically tagged as 'dealer' but I'm working on things like that, so it's still a work in progress.
