2. Unfortunately, I have just been told that this appeared on Youtube....from 1985 if memory serves me right!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBmiltpn3qM
3. Welcome and don't let the 6 strings go either...
4. Hi there and welcome
5. Molan, I have never known anyone tuen around as many basses as you, hope you are still liking the Celinder.
6. I would highly recommend Bergantino cabs - I sold my Epifani UL210's and EA CXL112 cabs after I purchased my Berg HT112ER/EX112ER cabs. I tried the AE112 cabs but I would recommend you try the HT/EX combination before buying. The HT/EX combination is heavier but still very easy to carry and (IMHO) much better - more refined with the best/sweetest treble of any bass cab I have owned/tried.
7. Hi and welcome
8. I will get some pictures taken over the weekend - too busy playing her at the moment. The colour is a great off white making it look very vintage. This is a seriously good instrument - sound, playability. I have some very nice basses and this is right up there with the best of them. If there is one word that sums this bass up - resonant. It has that same resonance that my '62 P Bass has - you feel the bass vibrate. If this is the result of the aging process it would be a loss if they made a version without it.
9. It's arrived. Wow.....got to go back to playing her, talk about it later.
10. Very nice, alas I cannot afford......
11. Welcome - hope you get connected soon
12. The reason why I have decided that custom made instruments are not for me. I ordered a Zoot once and regretted it on arrival, although much to do with my experience with the builder, but the bass just didn't click with me.
13. Not keen on the sound of modulus
14. Hi and welcome
15. Noooooooooooooo..I wasted 30 seconds of my life on this
16. Got a weekend off with no gigs...feels strange
17. You'd be better off saving up another 100 or so and getting a second hand US Jazz
18. Old but 'right' - welcome
19.
They are both very good bas guitars. Just pick one and go Dum Dum Dum in time with the drummer. It'll sound sh*t hot. Trust me. Don't get wrapped up in the tone issue that is rife in this forum. It's a bass, end of. What ever you feel comfortable with will be brill.
It's llama time.....
20.
How's the CS btw
Great Peter. Sounds mighty fine through the TC Head. How's the Spector?
21.
Anyone nailed the perfect P Bass w/flats thump (nice old funk setting) with the RH yet?
My first setting above sounds great with my '62 P Bass with the tone wound fully anti-clockwise and the bridge cover on (the mutes still intact)
22.
I decided to part with mine after a brief stunt (2 gigs, 1 rehearsal) as I prefer the cleaner sound of my MarkBass SA450 to the TC. As for tube sounds I am still using my big, heavy all tube SA200
That was quick. I have to say it takes a little of work to get the best from the TC 450. I really like my MB's but I'm really warming to the TC head and I couldn't face up to the weight of a decent valve head anymore.
23.
Give us an idea of your settings Alan. How's the CS btw
My favourite two settings are: 1. Gain around 10 O'Clock: Flat e.q.: Tubetone up around 10 O'Clock: Compressor up around 9 O'Clock 2. Gain around 12 O'clock: Bass three clicks right; lower bass two clicks right/with shift on - three clickg to the left; Mid Flat; Treble two clicks to the right; Tube tome off; Compressor around 11 O'clock
