1.
I decided to part with mine after a brief stunt (2 gigs, 1 rehearsal) as I prefer the cleaner sound of my MarkBass SA450 to the TC. As for tube sounds I am still using my big, heavy all tube SA200
That was quick. I have to say it takes a little of work to get the best from the TC 450. I really like my MB's but I'm really warming to the TC head and I couldn't face up to the weight of a decent valve head anymore.
2.
Give us an idea of your settings Alan. How's the CS btw
My favourite two settings are: 1. Gain around 10 O'Clock: Flat e.q.: Tubetone up around 10 O'Clock: Compressor up around 9 O'Clock 2. Gain around 12 O'clock: Bass three clicks right; lower bass two clicks right/with shift on - three clickg to the left; Mid Flat; Treble two clicks to the right; Tube tome off; Compressor around 11 O'clock
3. Hi and welcome
4. I'm like you Clarky, I can't seem to find a Jazz bass that cuts it in a band.
5.
Its a good job you did not show me those when I brought the ric off you Lovely basses indeed, price?
Not for sale I'm afraid....

10. Hi and welcome
11. Thanks for the write up. Well, Mark has just contacted me to let me know my bass has arrived (it too being a white one!) so I should have it in my hands next week.
12. Like everyone said, it's not an original and it's obvious a generic neck has been used. Re-inforces the buy before you try principle
13. Good luck with the sale Clarky. I have played this bass and it is very nice - medum weight and plays extremely well.
14. They are both great instruments if you get 'good one's'. I really like the early Stingrays with two band eq, through body stringing and chunkier bridge with mutes. The Stingray was the first production bass with an active e.q. and it was Leo himself who stated that the Stingray was the natural progression for the P Bass. Here's mine and I love 'em:
15. Barry, you ought keep at least one five string
16. It is a great Rick - and you are getting a V63 now!!!! Donny, you need help....
17. This post should also be moved to the for sale section
18. These are great units - I have one in my project studio which I used to use live with my Eden WT400.
19. It's great to see something different from the norm without being too left field
20.
What Pete said. Expensive but truly wonderful.
TheMarkbass CMD121P is a great home amp and can cut the mustard live as well. Again expensive, but really top notch.
21.
Although I have had a couple of expressions of interest for this cab, given the total lack of interest in the 1x12 I also have for sale I've decided to just keep them both.
Good call. I sold my two CXL112's for £325 each last year and thougt that was a little low for the quality of these cabs, I was offerred a lot less from a number of people but that was my bottom line.
22. Welcome, and it just proves that you are never too old to do the right thing!
