1.
I'm off to try one of these out tomorrow, to stack with my combo. Is there anything I should be aware of? What's the peizo tweeter like? (Never heard one before)
I don't like the Markbass piezo tweeter as this sounds spiter to my ears. I acyually disconnected it in my CMD121P combo and the it now sounds great (it was not switcheable). If the Piezo is switcheable it should be OK
2.
I presume umph is referring to the Marshall superbass range. About 6 months ago I would of definitely said yes to that, but I wanna go more lightweight. I'd love a traditional marshall stack, but not at the moment! Just seen a Eden WT800 head which im seriously interested in, might convert myself to a Eden man
The Eden WT800 is a real nice amp (weigh's in at 29lbs) but has a clean and quite smooth sound in comparison with a tube amp. But great amps all the same
3. Nothing better than pkaying a great gig
4. Welcome aboard. Be good to see some pictures of your series 2
5.
check out the TC electronics range
+1 on this - unless you want to get a big heavy valve amp (which may fit what you want) the TC RH450 is about as close as you will get to the feel of one.

8. Hi there
9. PMs replied to. Some interesting offers but nothing that grabs me as yet. I could add some cash for the right bass
10.
Antigua, the best Fender colour EVER, regardless of bass!
I was going to say three colur sunburst but I do like Antigua.ummm
11.
Cheers Alan, received the the ticket in the post today! Yes, its a tough one, I am so happy with this bass, but its more an issue of I cant see me gigging it over a fender, at least in what I am doing at present I did play a 2nd set on it once, perhaps I just need a little more time in a gig situation find my sound through it Hope your getting on well with your CS, I see you have some great fenders, must be a tough choice for you when loading up for gigs
Yep, I've made it hard for myself..... I was thinking about your original post and why not have a great piece of art in your house. I know lots of people who have paid a lot more on objects to hang on the wall/put in a cabinet and I reckon you Rick is as good an artistic investment as anything....
12. Tough call as it is a really nice one. I got it from Peter Cookes when they had just received an assignment of 6 new Ricks (they called me when they arrived) and they were unpacking them for me to try. This bass felt and played better than the others I tried so I can attest that this is a good Rick. The only reason I sold it was because I got a 4001 Chris Squire and only use this at home as I find my other basses more suitable for the band's I'm in. Whatever you do, as long as you keep the bass in great condition you shouldn't lose out. Maybe you should invite trades and see if there is someone that has a real nice bass they wouldn't part with other than to get a great Rick.
13. I ordered a 'custom' made bass (in the spirit of the luthiers shape but my choice of electronics/woods/hardware etc) and was mightily dissappointed with both the end result and after sales service. I did the due dilligence thing but for me it never worked out and I ended up losing a tidy sum as I just wanted rid of the darn thing and most basses from the small builders do not command a high resale value. This was the only time I had done such a thing and the last time I would contemplate doing it.

15. Hi and welcome
16. Well, I got this amp last year and it really is a great sound from such a small box. I got it for portability to do the odd rehearsal (we do about one every three months) and have used it at one gig. But reality is my Berg's 112's and a head is not such a big thing to carry around so it's only been used a handfull of times and is in prestine condition. I even had a Silvertone padded cover made for it. As it's getting practically no use I thought I put it up here to see if anyone wanted to trade. Ideally looking for a jazz bass or a nice fretless (can add cash for the right bass).
17.
FWIW i think an optional template is a great idea. it wouldn't take too long for someone who knows what they're doing to make, then a moderator could sticky it in the for sale section, then we can choose to copy and paste it if we so desire. i think a suprising amount of people would use it, i know i would.
+1 - helps both the buyers and sellers
18.
Are those pod X3 pros any good? They seemed like a bit of a rip off to me but i suppose if you think they're good then that's the important thing.
They are great for home studio work. Good mic strip simulations and great for guitar. Getting a decent mic pre would cost a lot more than the X3
19. Two ends of the spectrum:
20. Nothing too exciting but works well for home recordings:
21. Love these cabs:

23. All rehearsals are bad for me, I hate rehearsing.
