1. There's the boss one but I forget what's called, also a behringer version, there not in a flight case but are pretty strong. Andy
2. well its basically the same as the db751 so its about 42lbs, i never had a massive issue moving my 750 in a road case, plus when you turn it on! its worth it! andy
3.
Wow I completely missed this thread picking up again! I've never been so happy with an amp in my life. It always sounds fantastic and although it's only 100w, as Merton said you get the back end working lovely which adds to the fun. I find it plenty loud enough especially with PA support, through just a 2x10. I've also been impressed with it paired to a single 15, so I imagine it'll be absolutely fine with an 8x10. I haven't tried it with pedals at all yet, BUT, I think I'm going to treat myself to a PT Mini for Christmas. Not many effects you can use in a 60s pop band!
yeh thats my bad, glad to see your happy with it. andy
4. a few little changes, more fuzz from the godzilla and a bit of earthquaker love still love my lateral primer but for the minute till i properly get it into the songs its not really worth having it on the board andy
5. well i bit the bullet and got one, review, well on its own its a bit much, theres a loss of low end, lovely fuzz i have to say tho, however as ive said above my pedalboard has a few slots where i can clean blean, now this made it sit much nicer very happy with how it sounds its yet another flavour of fuzz, i like to switch things up from some to song, with both sides on its nuts and the right hand side is a bit crazy but the left hand side gain all the way with a 60/40 blend towards the clean sound is a very nice dirty grindy fuzz tone. 6.
Just checked there - cracking deals (not affiliated with Andertons in any way!).
yeh i know basically got the cab for i think £100? for small gigs its a gigable rig for sure andy
7.
For tuning down?
im guessing he means tune down to the lowest then capo up, but its seems easier to just tune down for the one tune unless as i said its a drastic tuning change andy
8. well just found this so worries over if its ok for a gigging band like dorje then should be fine for my needs andy
9. i dnt see the point of the valves in the front end if they arent doing anything tho? andy
10. got it from andertons
11. hi guys after swapping out the pickups in my Squier i have a set of pickups spare, they are the i believe no longer used pickups that were designed by fender with seymour duncan, they are very nice punchy and have a good output for passive pickups. ive heard from alot of people ive spoken to that they are better than the current pickups, however not having played them i cant say if thats true. looking for 25 pounds posted for them wiring is all intacted and pickups in good condition. andy
12. also should say that i love the cl212 really nice cab, yeh its not light but really nice sound! and love the grill im getting one made for my 810 andy
13.
So I bought a Behringer pitch shifter (not wanting to spend loads without having tried one out) so I can just use the one Bass instead of down tuning another for one song. In short, it's crap. I know, I know I didn't spend much so what can I expect! I've heard the Eventide works well, but at £400 it ain't cheap and is enough to buy a decent fiver (which is what I'm doing). Anyone got a view, do any of them actually work well? Cheers LC PS, Do any of the multi-effects do this - Boss GT10b for example?
i used to have one of these, as a pitch shift ie replacement for a whammy in a smaller footprint they work well, as do they for adding in a 5th above to make chords etc, sadly they are very digital sounding so its not just your sound an octave higher say. unfortunately apsrt from the more expensive pedals there isnt a cheap fix, i used to play in a band which needed to drop d stuff just tuned for that track then back up. andy andy
14. from playing amps with valve pre's for along time this little thing really does blow them away, sounds aleast to me very full and breaks up lovely, yes some noise comes when you crank the gain but this happens on alot of amps. played thru my full pedalboard today, which includes alot of fuzz, dirt and also a overdive/boost handles them all very well, yes ive had to change settings on a few but thats to be expected with a new amp. as you can see from my sig im selling a few bits to grab the 100w
15. well the ctm arrived about an hour ago! such a nice looking piece of kit! gonna give it a more in depth play thru tomoz but thru the 212 cl cab its got a bit of volume behind it! actually seriously looking at grabbing the 100w version for my big rig forgot how nice valves sound! and yes for joke reasons at next practice i will be running this into my 810! http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg72/0175westwood29/IMG_0231.jpg andy
16. This is an awesome overdrive pedal the eq is very effective no loss of bottom end and a really nice nice clear overdrive even with the gain maxed out!! there is velcro on the back of this pedal aswell but can be removed. Price includes postage Andy
17. As the title says, this is an awesome wireless system, all digital so no need for a license or anything, works really well on bass and has a lot more range than it actually says. All as it came to me new, in box with power supply and all box gubbins. Andy
18. Basic standard bass wah in very good condition, awesome sounding wah. Price includes postage Andy
19. Hi guys selling this as its been on my shelf for about 2 months, It's a classic pedal 2 octave down fuzz, actually for me worked very well on bass, worked well blendd with a clean sound in my doom band. Price includes postage £35 Andy
20. So I've developed gas for an all valve amp and to cover it this awesome beast sadly needs to go. Comes with its gig bag, and is well looked after no dings or marks I think seeing as new these are ove 600 notes 450 is fair given its condition. Based in South brent in Devon, so only 30 mins from Exeter or Plymouth http://i245.photobuc...29/IMG_0232.jpg http://i245.photobuc...29/IMG_0234.jpg http://i245.photobuc...29/IMG_0233.jpg Andy
21. The Hartke 115 hydrive cabs are very nice, loud and a lot lighter than expected.
22. well ive sent an email now to a local shop asking them about prices, thie minimum ive had at a gig was a 410 so im thinking of maybe taking a gamble might even try my ctm 15 thro the 810 if that almost copes (i doubt it) then the 100w will be fine plus gives me the option of going for all valve dirt with out killing people. thanks for your help guys andy
23.
Not unless you have someone at the back of the room.
ive always had a sound guy go out front also the singer in my band likes to take a walk out front
24.
No problem gigging my CTM100 (with 2 x 210s) in a loud band. Admittedly there's not a huge amount of clean headroom over our usual backline vol, but I haven't needed it so far. Sounds ace.
not so worried about clean headroom as i never have a clean sound always heavy fuzz or dirt. and the 300w version does look like a monster but i want something thats just right as i very rarely use the terror past one! so thinking the 300w might be a bit much as i dnt need massive headroom andy
25. i just dnt get on with the shapes, but maybe i should tho as got told the other day that my bass wasnt very metal? andy
