1. think the last one went well, whos up for another? maybe in plymouth or exeter? theres a venue in plymouth that might let us use it in the day big room good sound. get a nice bunch of guys/gals together as much gear as we can and see what happens? Andy
2.
When the last one went my eq was pretty much flat (bass slightly boosted), we down tune 1/2 a step normally and i have a drop D tuner which I was using at the time but still not as low as a B on a 5 string. I must admit I do normaly drive the cabs well but not to the state where theyre being over driven
nothing out of the blue there then, i drive my ashdown pretty hard fuzz, octaves and chorus all at once at some points and we tune down a whole step and drop c, are you using a tweeter? andy
3. Are you pushing alot of lows into the cabs? as even tho your below the rated wattage you could still be pushing the cab hard? andy
4. not the best audio quality will do a better more in depth one soon! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CsIDf2V6mY andy
5.
Only whales can hear it.
im actually a bit surprised how well it comes over, yes its low and in a band mix its just gonna be a rumble, but sounds pretty decent thru my 212/ctm-15 home rig. have made a short video using my ipad to give an idea will try in following weeks to do a better demo with a mic on my 810 mixed with a di. will post a link when the video is live on my youtube. andy
6. i see your keeping this now, good choice, i had to sell mine due to money and not gigging in an old band, was a beast well worth grabbing a lighter cab and putting up with the weight. andy
7.
Checked out your videos, Andy, enjoyed the pedalboard run-through! Have you considered Darkglass gear? Listening to your distortion and gated-esque fuzz tones, the B3K/B7K and Duality could be right up your street!
been thinking about grabbing a b7k for a while, also glad you liked the videos andy
8. Gonna try and get some clips in a video soon!
9.
What gauges are those?
175, 135, 105, 85, 65(I think) and 45
10.
That's a monstrous E string!
Well it is an octave below a standard E

12. cant speak highly enough of my Nordstand pickups that i have in my vm squier, nice growl and response and a really simple thing to fit! andy
13. really happy with planet waves kit that i have, you can get straight or angle plugs i think and the ends are really good quality! andy
14. Yeh sorry was late last night posting, it's eadgcf
15. So i finally got around to doing this! some will hate, but wanted something a bit dif! and this def is that! crazy sub, sounds cool now to try it out thru my gig rig! 16. ah sh*t!
17. looks like they are just custom vintage single coils, so maybe find out the type from fender and get the same pickup. or grab a new set, i like above like the nordstrand pickups ive got in my squier andy
18. def i was very happy with it for what i used andy
19.
Don't do it!!!!!
+1 if you want a fender buy a fender.
20.
Looking for an octave up sort of sound. The Zoom B3 does it but seems to be out of tune with itself when you are doing an octave. Anyone know if the Behringer Ultra Shift is any good on a bass? it isn't advertised as a bass effect, so not sure what its tracking is like
had one of these as a whammy replacement worked really well, sounds whammy esc so quite digital. andy
21. only good things to say about my vm jazz, but as above get out and play a few fenders and see how they compare to your squier if its just the fact they play the some but the pickups in one are better the price of new pickups or a new bridge will be much less than the difference in the 2 basses prices. andy
22. love the wiring loom! well worth checking out! ive got Nordstrand pickups in my jazz, really happy with those. andy
23. Well it sounds decent, would be an improvement on some bass in sure
24. Yeh they will fit, they are to my ears much better than the standard squier pickups
