1.
There are two power tubes (EL84) and a 12AX7 as a phase inverter (only). I asked Ashdown and they answered, that the preamp section is only SS.
One of the best solid state pre amps I've heard then
2.
Is that a port on the side? I'll be disappointed if it is.
Looks like it, was always having a port tho wasn't it? Isn't it meant to sound like a sealed cab but with the added pluses of being ported? I could be wrong of course
3. Why do they say full valve and what are the valves in there doing?
4. lee anderton, all the youtube videos he is capt lee. this is a shame tho have got my last few musical purchases from them all have been spot on! andy
5. if this cab gets good reviews i may have to make my first barefaced order next year andy
6.
I am wondering; Are Cog stock pedals all 'original' designs or based on(or clones of) something else? For example; Is the T65 one of many reinventions( improved and more elaborate as the case may be) of the oc2, divided octave or Pearl oc7? And how about the other pedals by Cog? I find them really quite interesting! Thanks!
as is said above the tarkin is based on a muff circuit but its been improved on, ie clean blend, the tk421 is a rat based circuit but again improved. the t65 is a wicked little pedal, i believe its based on the pearl pedal, but with the added filter it can do synthy or clean octave. andy
7. really capt lee? andy

11. well the bass arrived today! very impressed with it, nice finish, nice hardware etc. sounds very nice alot of tones on tap with the active eq, with my ctm 15 that i was playing a simple mid boost made the bass overdrive the amp really nicely so am quite impressed heres a few pics
12. i use fender cables, very happy with the sound and quality, i use the planet waves cables on my pedalboard tho. andy
13. yeh the 18v pre is pretty hefty power wise alot of boost on tap andy
14.
How's my old Speaker Cranker working out then? It's a great dirty boost. I had an impulse Black Friday purchase of a new TAFM. Just because I love my original so much I want to see how the newer ones sound, they have a switchable buffer inside and a few tweaks here and there!
Working out very well use it to boost on top of my Godzilla, root and Tarkin they then become mental!!
15. something about fuzz sits well in my current band, but i do like mixing fuzz with overdrive andy
16.
Currently using a swollen pickle m2. Love Fuzz
love the pickle! its a crazy fuzz! my favs are changing all the time hence why i probs have like 5 fuzzes on my board! andy
17.
Cool! And it seems she's the bassist with Tarja Turunen (ex Nightwish)...
indeed looks like she is pretty busy. andy
18. Me neither
19. why would you supply a pedal a different sig than a instrument signal? are you thinking in terms of reamping? im not really sure what your thinking, are you trying to run a clean sound and a dirt channel at the same time? i use a bright onion blender to blend in crazy fuzz to my clean sound.
20. when you say impedance issue? if you want to go straight into a desk maybe get a di with a speaker emulator, alot out there now. andy
21. so just a little post to say that ive always loved fuzz! ever since i tried my first big muff! been through so many but now have a selection yes! a selection that i love! but got my new amp at the weekend an all valve ashdown CTM-100 and its just made them even more awesome! so made this little video to show ppl! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTnrmKPAHj4 headphones are needed! and yes not the ideal mic but im really happy with the sound! andy
