1. Was tempted to get his kids to paint it but went for hand painted as I the pic on the demon is cool
2.
I think you'll be really happy with the Demon, one of their best imho, and I've had most of them too! Would have kept them all if I hadn't needed the cash!
really looking forward to it, my pedal collection is def getting a revamp atm got in a nice easy to hide colour aswell.........gold
3.
Lovely demo - nice and phat tone! I've had my LB30 for over a year now and wouldn't part with it - it's fantastic. Best tone I've ever made. Makes me want a great big valve amp for gigs -- and a great big roadie to carry it!
my ctm 15 ( yes i know not the same as lb30) made me want and very quickly get a ctm 100! andy
4.
I thought that the COG Knightfall pedals were in the same family as the Demon / OCD pedals - may be wrong though... Fuzzrocious stuff has just never really clicked with me - bought an OSD (what the Demon was originally called), rat tail, two grey staches, a dark driving and a tremorslo over the years. Sold them all on. The only one that was (to me) really special was that first grey stache. Stupidly sold it!! But he then tweaked the circuit, and the second one I bought, to replace that first one, was nowhere near as good. I do like their pedals, it's just from my experience, I have found better equivalents of everything I have bought from them (aside from that first stache!) - there is a lot of fan-boy-ism surrounding them on the net though.
totally valid man, ill be honest ive been a bit like that when it comes to some stuff, sadly its mxr that ive always disliked, only there drive stuff tho. ive actually ordered a demon, got it with the gate/boost mod and an external switch for the lpf/hpf still looking into rat pedals, but will see what happens in the next few weeks be nice to have a few to try, already have a dry/wet blend on my board so no need for the ls-2. andy
5. agree sounds good Bakerster! so problem is i now after looking on the Fuzzrocious site i want a "Demon" sounds really good, def sounds in rat territory, but after being on that site i also want a dark driving! can maybe see me taking a punt on the tk, as from my "Red 5" custom i know how good cog stuff is.
6. back to the top as i need this gone :-) andy
7. As the title says, was looking the other night at phasers and this one just popped out at me! have had a song in my band where i think a phaser would sit well, but wanted a bit more control than i had with my mxr phase 99. should arrive early next week! andy
8.
What's the difference between fuzz, distortion and overdrive? If I was looking for something akin to very light valve breakup, which would I get?
as the guys above have said, you want a bit of overdrive, although it all depends on what amp you have as is always the case sometimes it might not sound like a valve break up, sometimes as again has been said a low gain fuzz will work nice aswell.
9. just got my sellf the Ashdown Dr Green " bearded lady" must say its a beastly fuzz! really growly lots of bite! ive moved the godzilla and apocalypse on but also have a moog dirt pedal coming aswell so cant wait! andy
10. hi guys in the market for a few new pedals so looking to move this one on. its a very simple one knob overdrive/boost, nothing fancy gives a little grit to a clean but doesnt get really dirty, i use it to push my valve amp over the edge or on top of another drive as it adds a nice bit of top end that helps a dirt sound cut through on a bass imo. always used on a pedal board, very good nick. looking for £55 plus postage for this little beauty!
11. Mmmmm im not sure about the blower box, it sounds good, but even tho i can tell that the bass is huge, its the boosted bass which isnt the same as clean blended bass if that makes sense.
12.
The Blower Box doesn't have a clean blend, but has ridiculous amounts of bass boost on tap from its EQ!
cool ill check it out!
13.
you sounded great last night Andy. i used to have an original RAT pedal, loved the distorted sound, just lost all the bottom end so got rid of it in the end. Though have sounded a few which have been modded for bass good luck with the search, Nick
cheers nick! so did you man!! will check out the blower box danny, i think i might need to have something with a clean blend, but from having a heliotropic i know the fuzzrocious pedal keep alot of lows. andy
14. Evening all, having a bit of a change around on the board as i do every sort of 4 months, and im thinking of getting something based on a Rat circuit, have the original and it was good but rather than grab one of those i fancy getting a newer clone with more options. so basically the two i know of are the Rat tail and Rat king by Fuzzrocious and im pretty sure the cog effects TK-421X is based on a rat anyone owned both? or have an idea how these would work with my ctm-100 and if they play nice with other pedals such as octaves and filters? andy
15. we use the full live rig, just watch the volume, but it helps get levels and sounds a bit better for us as we all use valve heads and effects so using a different set up can change things a lot! andy
16. we played the final slot at an all day rock metal show in plymouth, was a cool show sadly we went on about half hour late due to a few problems with bands before us but that cant be helped, even tho alot of ppl left which as we all know can be a real mood killer! the ppl who stayed made noise and we played pretty well. plus i got to use the di on my ctm for the first time really happy with how it sounded as normally i like to mic the bass cab, but what with time delays etc wasnt practical, but it sounded good. andy
17. hi guys love this pedal but its not being used as much as it should be on my board so time to send this awesome thing to an owner who will use it all the time! £150 plus postage. http://s22.postimg.o...7ib5/image1.jpg
18. any interest as i need this gone andy
19. Depends, if you want the wah in the di then it needs to go before the m80. Otherwise it will only be going through the amp.
