Not convinced the band or the missus are too happy about that [/quote] nice, i do think that ashdown has a seriously good range of amps atm! covers all gigs really! im glad i decided to go for the 100 over the 300 as for the sound i need, lots of dirt and thick fuzz the 100 not having clean headroom isnt a problem, hell even the 15 through my 810 mic'd would be up to it i think. that 200 with the extras the bta brings to the table must be sweet! andy

  6. ive had alot of amps but even ones with loud fans like the Aguilar db750 or ampeg svt pro 8 never were so loud that as soon as anyone was playing the noise couldnt be heard. and more and more amps have the heat sensitive fans now so only come on when needed. andy
  7. i have a behringer mixing desk/usb interface cost about 69 quid, four channels with 2 having mic pre's it works really well! however have been looking at getting the akai eie interface but am happy with what i currently have andy

  16. sounds to me like its something to do with the preamp valves, but if its under warranty just send it back and get a new one would be my shout. however tho having had a 1000 for a while (only just moved it on) these amps are super reliable, so dnt assume just as this one has had problems your next one will breakdown on you, it could have had a bang in postage thats broke a tube. andy

[/quote] is has alot of bass in it, and if you want more in a live context you can push in the deep switch which doesnt show on a recording but if your infront of the amp it just hits you in the chest! check out the videos above for some sound samples andy
  18. hi all well earlier this month i got myself the ctm-15 as a home a maybe a little amp for the studio, well i feel in love so much that i decided to get the big brother for my main rig, so i now have the ctm-100, first things first the finish is awesome, very well put together, nothing feels cheap to me. first thing i wanted to do was run it into my 810t mag cabinet, ill admit going from a 1000w bass terror i was a little scared about only having 100w of power, but i really had no need to be, this amp is loud! and has a nice warm sound lots of bottom end but its stays fairly clean but starts developing a bit of pre amp grind pretty early as you raise the gain, but id still say that most would have this a clean sound no trouble. as you get up into bringing the master up the grind turns into a really thick creamy overdrive, now this is where i would say that if you are in a very loud band and you want more cleanish headroom then the 300 is more for you, as i use dirt ontop of the amps grind thats not a problem for me. and on that note it takes effects really well! there is an effects loop if unlike me you use delays etc and its conveniently on the front of the amp no fumbling round the back to plug things in, but the amp responds really well to having a boost into it to drive it over the edge and also to my ears was very happy with fuzz and distortion. heres a few photos also have made a few videos showing of how it sounds driving the amp and also of my pedalboard which show how it handles the above effects [URL=http://s245.photobucket.com/user/0175westwood29/media/IMG_0301.jpg.html][IMG]http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg72/0175westwood29/IMG_0301.jpg[/IMG][/URL] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTnrmKPAHj4&list=UU2nph-mPlvZFfBPyj1ADc3Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUMx-foXvLI&index=2&list=UU2nph-mPlvZFfBPyj1ADc3Q

In recent years I've gone from a mark bass lmt, to the swr headlite, but have to say every time I plugged into something like an svt or orange it made me long for tubes, tried to cure that with a terror bass, and tbh it really did work till I got a proper look at the ctm amps. Always had big cabs however, trace 1153, ampeg 610, orange 115 and 410 and now my ashdown 810

  25. so saw this pedal in a andertons video and its got me thinking for a really small fuzz wah this might be cool. https://robertkeeley.com/shop/sfocato-fuzz-wah although even on guitar it seems to cut lows but thinking putting it in a clean blend might detract from the overall effect. anyone know any more bass friendly pedals that are similar? andy
