cant speak highly enough of my Nordstand pickups that i have in my vm squier, nice growl and response and a really simple thing to fit! andy

really happy with planet waves kit that i have, you can get straight or angle plugs i think and the ends are really good quality! andy

looks like they are just custom vintage single coils, so maybe find out the type from fender and get the same pickup. or grab a new set, i like above like the nordstrand pickups ive got in my squier andy

only good things to say about my vm jazz, but as above get out and play a few fenders and see how they compare to your squier if its just the fact they play the some but the pickups in one are better the price of new pickups or a new bridge will be much less than the difference in the 2 basses prices. andy

love the wiring loom! well worth checking out! ive got Nordstrand pickups in my jazz, really happy with those. andy

pretty much agree with lozz, the sd, just sound a bit fatter all round, but not muddy. went down the sd route as i cant atm justify the money to try the aguliar pups out and the nordstrand p bass pup is a bit to much money atm. found this video which shows the pickups well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFasRbajFy4 andy
