2. only good things to say about my esp, awesome bass and looks alot more pricey than it is, pluss the active eq is really good for getting alot of sounds out of the bass! it will also take random tunings, mine has a 175 low e for god sake! andy
3. made a compilation of all three tracks we managed to record from our set. https://www.youtube....h?v=yfIWz6EMmuc
4.
In my ongoing love affair with Abominable Electronics, this came out today, and my order is in! This will be my 7th pedal from them when it arrives. Still yet to hear if anyone else on this board has given any of them a go? http://www.abominableelectronics.com/collections/311112-pedals/products/12714355-dont-shred-on-me-deluxe
interested to here how you get on with that! looks aweosme! andy
5. heres the pic as promised andy
6. hate to say it but sounds like you have tried to come up with a solution to a problem that never existed. to me if you want to go straight into a pa then get a preamp with a di like an vt bass or mxr m80 or sansamp, and di from that. with two pedals you could get an orange ish tone, say a sansamp and something to model an orange crunch, like a eqd monarch. andy
7.
I love the reverb Justin Chancellor uses on The Grudge when the song drops down to just bass At 1:19 https://youtu.be/EiR1hmpk-x4 Also his use of whammy? Wah? At 9:33 in this, not sure but awesome. https://youtu.be/VZXJLQntCP0
love that part in Rosetta! most tool stuff has really good use of effects, for me it schism or parabola which are my faves https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bKy57OeNU8 the start of parabola is awesome! and when its getting real heavy at the end the bass is filth! andy
8. sounds good man! for me the guitar is still a bit loud but that could be the recording. andy
9. just done this little video to show some changes ive done to my board, got some new gear in over the week and finally got a chance before a gig on sunday to work some sounds out! will add a pic later but heres the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGtoQFH1RoY will do a better quality vid when i get the time, but really happy with the new additions a mini mooger drive and bearded lady ashdown fuzz. andy

11. i was lucky really, i found a tech who was willing to share his knowledge with me, its a thing not many do as it will probs lose them your business and others but you really do have to do something very severe to ruin the frets on a new bass/guitar to a point where they need replacing. the best thing to do is if possible take the neck of, then mark all the frets with a black marker, then get a straight edge file and you will see the pen disappear in the places where your high, then use a fret file to recrown the frets on a good file this should only take 7/8 passes again use the black pen to mark the now leveled fret again and crown the frets till this is gone.then a quick polish with wire wool. is important to get the neck straight before this tho as otherwise the frets being level on a bent neck wnt be any good. something very rewarding tho to know you have done the work. andy
12. willing to except offers on this andy
13. maybe give the tc spark a try? clean boost with bass treble and a gain knob to add some grit and push the svt into break up andy
14. If you want your amp but more have you thought or tried a clean boost? I use a earthquaker devices speaker cranked to push and add a bit of hair, well until it sells ;-) ( not a plug but I'm selling it) Andy
15. Was tempted to get his kids to paint it but went for hand painted as I the pic on the demon is cool
16.
I think you'll be really happy with the Demon, one of their best imho, and I've had most of them too! Would have kept them all if I hadn't needed the cash!
really looking forward to it, my pedal collection is def getting a revamp atm got in a nice easy to hide colour aswell.........gold
17.
Lovely demo - nice and phat tone! I've had my LB30 for over a year now and wouldn't part with it - it's fantastic. Best tone I've ever made. Makes me want a great big valve amp for gigs -- and a great big roadie to carry it!
my ctm 15 ( yes i know not the same as lb30) made me want and very quickly get a ctm 100! andy
18.
I thought that the COG Knightfall pedals were in the same family as the Demon / OCD pedals - may be wrong though... Fuzzrocious stuff has just never really clicked with me - bought an OSD (what the Demon was originally called), rat tail, two grey staches, a dark driving and a tremorslo over the years. Sold them all on. The only one that was (to me) really special was that first grey stache. Stupidly sold it!! But he then tweaked the circuit, and the second one I bought, to replace that first one, was nowhere near as good. I do like their pedals, it's just from my experience, I have found better equivalents of everything I have bought from them (aside from that first stache!) - there is a lot of fan-boy-ism surrounding them on the net though.
totally valid man, ill be honest ive been a bit like that when it comes to some stuff, sadly its mxr that ive always disliked, only there drive stuff tho. ive actually ordered a demon, got it with the gate/boost mod and an external switch for the lpf/hpf still looking into rat pedals, but will see what happens in the next few weeks be nice to have a few to try, already have a dry/wet blend on my board so no need for the ls-2. andy
19. agree sounds good Bakerster! so problem is i now after looking on the Fuzzrocious site i want a "Demon" sounds really good, def sounds in rat territory, but after being on that site i also want a dark driving! can maybe see me taking a punt on the tk, as from my "Red 5" custom i know how good cog stuff is.
20. back to the top as i need this gone :-) andy
21. As the title says, was looking the other night at phasers and this one just popped out at me! have had a song in my band where i think a phaser would sit well, but wanted a bit more control than i had with my mxr phase 99. should arrive early next week! andy
22.
What's the difference between fuzz, distortion and overdrive? If I was looking for something akin to very light valve breakup, which would I get?
as the guys above have said, you want a bit of overdrive, although it all depends on what amp you have as is always the case sometimes it might not sound like a valve break up, sometimes as again has been said a low gain fuzz will work nice aswell.
23. just got my sellf the Ashdown Dr Green " bearded lady" must say its a beastly fuzz! really growly lots of bite! ive moved the godzilla and apocalypse on but also have a moog dirt pedal coming aswell so cant wait! andy
