  1. Bought a Pedaltrain from Stew. Arrived well packaged and as described. Great transaction and top notch communication. However, due to no fault of Stews we had numerous hiccups with the courier service. I think that Stew will wholeheartedly agree with the statement that "Hermes are an absolute waste of Rucking time" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  2. I bought the white one Ash had up on here recently. Nice and light and the neck is great and I don't have big hands. Lovely sound, that's very old school. Proper old bass that easily competes with my JV and USA Precisions.
  3. Trace Elliot Elf. Tiny footprint, really well built, 200w, sounds great, headphone out and cheap as chips. I have one as a spare to my Subway 800 and wouldn't hesitate to use it as a first if needs be.
  4. Bought a MacBook from Lawrie (well my daughter did). She's very happy with it. Great transaction, as described and arrived very quickly. Deal with confidence, Lawrie is a credit to the forum. Thanks again Lawrie. Cheers Dunc
  5. My bumps not working properly type bump
  6. I often do! Sent it to a mate of mine and he's the same and he's a guitarist! πŸ˜‚

    BigJim

Did a trade with Jim today. He's a nice fella and Is a credit to BC. Everything went as it should do and the bass was exactly as described in the ad. All things bass related talked about too (masks and social distancing of course). No tea and biscuits for obvious reasons. Always a pleasure to meet a BC'er face to face, although I didn't see his face because of his mask πŸ˜‚ Have no doubts he's the genuine article and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Thanks again Jim and I hope your drive home was uneventful πŸ˜€ Cheers Dunc
  8. Better pics added.
  9. Dates to about 2000 and by all accounts was a good year. Roadworn but nothing really bad. It genuinely has been my go to noodle bass that lives downstairs with me. Incoming Jazz dictatates the sale. Black with white guard, rosewood board. Comes with strap locks. I'd have no hesitation to gig with it. Sounds like a Jazz and plays like a Jazz. Better pics up. My house is in permanent darkness! Pick up preferred but feel free to arrange your own insured courier. No case but will be well packaged. Neck off option available too.
  10. Lovely basses these. Fantastic necks and all round a really well made instrument. GLWTS
  11. What would you be looking for in terms of a trade? 😎
  12. Fantastic cabs. Throws out like an 8x10. Loved mine. Loud as hell and I never even had my old Ashdown Evo 3 500 half way. Absolute bargain. GLWTS
  13. The price is getting very silly. Very silly indeed. I'm sat here recording with mine with a Precision and it sounds brilliant. Not only a great gigging head but ideal for doing good work during lockdown. Why this hasn't sold by now is beyond me!
  14. You could always brag that you'd been to Hull and back! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  15. Absolutely love the sound of these πŸ™‚
  16. You are right, the Elf is a good amp in it's own right. I got one as a spare and it sounds great to me. Plenty loud enough through a pair of BF 110's. I play with PA support (usually! That's a laugh at the moment πŸ˜‚) though. I'm sure that with the right cabs, as a standalone, it could be enough for smaller venues. Depends on the style of music though too. If portability is a necessity then it's a good choice. Unfortunately, there's always a trade off when choosing between micro heads and those that.curve your spine.
  17. A mate of mine bought the blue model when they first come out. Heavy as but a really nice bass indeed. He got into raving in the 90's and swapped it for a couple of record decks. We all do very silly things.
  18. Sometimes I wonder why you bother advertising your stuff Si.You may as well just contact me and I'll open an account with you! πŸ˜‚ Even though I've got the R16 I still keep on looking at this! Top guy to deal with folks. GLWTS
  19. I can't e even blag it as she doesn't even know about the other acquisitions yet! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  20. Somehow you always manage it Si! Another item that's been on my list πŸ˜‚ If I hadn't just splashed out on a couple of basses, I'd be having it for sure!
  21. Borax, that's a downer indeed. I know it was obvious about changing the lead but I got confused with mine when it still made a noise at the tip? Have you tried this -
  22. Try another lead Karl. I've literally just plugged a bass in and all was well, tried another and nothing but the lead worked when I pressed the tip? Plugged it in again, nothing, pulled it part way out and it started working. Before I took the bass to bits, I tried another lead. Hey presto! Equilibrium is restored πŸ˜€
  23. I had a play on this yesterday. It's a lovely looking bass that plays even better than it looks. GLWTS.
  24. Bought a couple of basses from a Ash today. Great deal, great basses exactly as described. What more could a man want? Deal with confidence. Thanks again Ash. Cheers Dunc
