  1. One particular band I play in is a Clash covers band. We don't play often but always get paid far more than the originals bands I play in. We have a decent following which often exceeds the safe limit for the venue. We got together for one gig and it evolved from there. There are no disillusions about what we do, We always have a laugh and a great time. No falling out or fits of pique. No dressing up to suit the genre. We also managed to get five members who all love The Clash too. That's exactly why we do it. We love em and we're not really bothered if folk turn up either. So far, only one person (well, a guitarist 😂) has ever questioned our motives. After having a go and slating us, he contacted me and told me we should sack our guitarist and get him 😂😂😀😂
  2. I used David Eden gear for a good number of years in the past. Hands down, the best gear I have ever used or owned. Metro combo and a 4x10. Absolutely the best rig available. Glass back prohibited keeping them. Now, if I was younger or had the luxury of a roadie, these cabs would be a no brainer. Still, I get excited when I see the David range for sale! GLWTS.
  3. I use one of these. Great pice of kit. GLWTS.
  4. Ooooh, that's going to sound immense! If I was younger and richer, it would be mine 😀 GLWTS
  5. Hi, dimensions of the head - H x W x D 66 X 210 X 160 mm 2.598 X 8.268 X 6.299 inches https://www.kennysmusic.co.uk/ashdown-mibass-2-0s-400w-lightweight-bass-head I'll have to measure the actual space for the amp tomorrow though. The gap is bigger as it sits on a mounting plate to fasten in.
  6. Interested in any trades per chance?
  7. Another vintage P? Have you got an amazing musical instrument shop or are you a prolific burglar? 😂😂😂😀
  8. You need to stop selling all this great stuff Walshy. My wallet twitches every time I see your avatar in the classifieds! 😂😂😀😀
  9. Great condition. Comes boxed with manual, pickup and extra long lead. Absolutely brilliant piece of effects kit. Not had it long at all. I bought it from BC'er Geddys Nose and believe it's not very old but have found myself needing to raise some cash or do some sort of trade for a short scale semi acoustic bass. I've got a Dearmond Starfire and another one of those would do nicely. I'm beginning to find that I'm more comfortable with a shorter scale and rather than start selling off my long scale basses so soon, other items will have to go. Other offers of semi's are welcome (oooo-er 😂). Other 21 / 22 fret short or medium non semi considered. Next in the pecking order trade wise would be an Orange Terror Bass or maybe an OB1. Other than that, just try me. I can only say no. I have a number of items advertised here and quite willing to add multiples for the right trade. Will post at buyers cost and risk . Much prefer collection and trial. Maybe able to meet up. Pica to follow.
  10. I've had one of these, the Redsub and the Promethean. I didn't notice any discernible difference in tone or quality. I'm sure I read somewhere that someone took their HB to bits and found the Ibanez pre in there too. All made by the same company.
  11. Worth that for the head alone. Great little amps. Can't go wrong, especially as a backup. GLWTS.
  12. Skint until either - Xmas brings me cash or something of mine sells unfortunately.
  13. Another amp I fancy but haven't got any money! GLWTS
  14. Quite fancy this but being xmas and all I'm a bit skint. Who knows, things might improve once Santa has been! 😀

I recently bought Scott's Starfire. Nice bloke and a great BC'er, Always nice to meet a BC'er face to face. He even braved the weather of the North to drop it off for me! Lovely bass as described. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. All I need to do is work on a plan for his Ampeg head that he has for sale! 😂 Thanks again Scott. Cheers Dunc
  16. I've got one of those in a P/J configuration. Great basses indeed. I wouldn't dream of selling mine for anywhere near that figure!
  17. May trade for effects, Boss TU3 would be handy, pedal board. Try me with anything really. I never thought I'd sell this, I instantly got the sound I'd been searching for for years. It's a great little combo that truly has a great sound and in good condition for its age. It's very loud for its wattage too (will have to check but I think it's 130). I've had much higher wattage combos that weren't as loud as this. I thought it was going to be really heavy too but to be honest, it's perfectly manageable and compact. I've now found myself with a room full of gear and unfortunately this has to be part of my clear out. I got it a few months ago from BC'er Kevvo66 and fully intended to use it as a 1st choice with PA support but changing projects and acquiring a BF Big Twin, I'm finding little use for it. I would love to keep it at home for recording but if you could see how much gear is already packed into such a small room, you would fully understand! 😂 I'll try and get some more photos when I can make some space. A Trace Elliot combo for £75 has to be one of the greatest bargains on BC at the moment. 😀 Collection from BB22SH or could possibly meet up. You are welcome to send your own courier. I'll pack it well for you.
  18. That could well explain the tweeter blowing then! We live and learn! Thanks for the info!
  19. I think this might be yours. I got it from Pestie. I used Walshy's pic as it was the only one I could find until I could actually get photos of the unit. The history sounds familiar too. It is a great cab. Thanks for the heads up.
  20. I couldn't agree with you more. It's a really transparent cab and does not need the horn to compliment it. You are right, it reproduces exactly what is put into it. If the horn did work, I'd turn it off anyway! Thanks for the thumbs up Potato Bass! It is a great cab. 👍
