    Did a trade with Jim today. He's a nice fella and Is a credit to BC. Everything went as it should do and the bass was exactly as described in the ad. All things bass related talked about too (masks and social distancing of course). No tea and biscuits for obvious reasons. Always a pleasure to meet a BC'er face to face, although I didn't see his face because of his mask 😂 Have no doubts he's the genuine article and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.     Dates to about 2000 and by all accounts was a good year. Roadworn but nothing really bad. It genuinely has been my go to noodle bass that lives downstairs with me. Incoming Jazz dictatates the sale. Black with white guard, rosewood board. Comes with strap locks. I'd have no hesitation to gig with it. Sounds like a Jazz and plays like a Jazz. Better pics up. My house is in permanent darkness! Pick up preferred but feel free to arrange your own insured courier. No case but will be well packaged. Neck off option available too.

    Fantastic cabs. Throws out like an 8x10. Loved mine. Loud as hell and I never even had my old Ashdown Evo 3 500 half way. Absolute bargain. GLWTS

    The price is getting very silly. Very silly indeed. I'm sat here recording with mine with a Precision and it sounds brilliant. Not only a great gigging head but ideal for doing good work during lockdown. Why this hasn't sold by now is beyond me!

    You are right, the Elf is a good amp in it's own right. I got one as a spare and it sounds great to me. Plenty loud enough through a pair of BF 110's. I play with PA support (usually! That's a laugh at the moment 😂) though. I'm sure that with the right cabs, as a standalone, it could be enough for smaller venues. Depends on the style of music though too. If portability is a necessity then it's a good choice. Unfortunately, there's always a trade off when choosing between micro heads and those that.curve your spine.

    A mate of mine bought the blue model when they first come out. Heavy as but a really nice bass indeed. He got into raving in the 90's and swapped it for a couple of record decks. We all do very silly things.

    Borax, that's a downer indeed. I know it was obvious about changing the lead but I got confused with mine when it still made a noise at the tip? Have you tried this -

    Try another lead Karl. I've literally just plugged a bass in and all was well, tried another and nothing but the lead worked when I pressed the tip? Plugged it in again, nothing, pulled it part way out and it started working. Before I took the bass to bits, I tried another lead. Hey presto! Equilibrium is restored 😀

    Due to a couple of new acquisitions incoming, up for sale is my De Armond Starfire wearing fairly new groundwound strings. I've got a set of flats that came off it when I bought it that I'll include too. It's in good condition for its age and has had a couple of mods by the previous owner. The jack socket has been moved to the front of the bass (pic of the old hole added). To be honest, it's much better on the front as they don't sit too well on a stand plugged in in the original position. There's also an extra strap button, it was there when I bought it and to be honest, that works well too for a quick height change. Has USA pups. Hard case included. It's short scale but takes medium scale strings due to the tailpiece. Trades - Try me with anything music related. Basses to Macs. I'll get some better pictures tomorrow in the daylight. Collection and trial much preferred from BB22SH but can ship. Buyer to arrange their own courier and insurance.

    I had a crafted in Japan P in oly. Sold it on here a number of years ago and still regret doing so. Lovely thing.
